Evaporative Emission Control System...

My car failed inspection when they plugged into the computer. This is why:

P0452 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input

my car is running fine and I'm poor and don't want to pay the dealer to "fix" this "problem"..... so does anyone know if there's a way to bypass this bullshit and pass the test?

any help is appreciated

you cant bypass emission failures. This code I think has to do with the fuel tank pressure sensor. The code is different but in the service manaul it says fuel pressure sensor circuit. Your car may run fine, but there is a problem with an emission component. Best bet would be to call up the dealer or independent shops and ask them how much to charge you to check it out and tell you the problem. Then once they tell you, you can possibly fix it yourself. Could be as simple as a faulty sensor.

well the sensor itself is $154 plus tax, but on majestic hondas webiste it is $116. SO you may want to purchase the sensor and install it yourself. Would save the $100 in labor.

If you fill up after the pump clicks off, you will eventually ruin the eec system.

exactly. When you top off the tank, you risk damaging the charcoal canister. Its job is to store fuel vapors and later release them into the engine to be burned through combustion, but if you top off, you risk saturating the canister with fuel thus defeating the purpose of the Evap system and you risk releasing vapors into the atmosphere. This is why we have emissions components on vehicles, and emissions inspections. To prevent polluting the atmosphere.

do those extra vapors give better power or more gas mileage, or just for fun?

Honestly I dont know. What I do know if around 20-30% of all HC emissions are from the fuel tank vapors. I heard topping off the tank those extra 3 gallons or so really doesnt give you any extra fuel, but I dont see why it wouldnt give you extra mileage. I mean you have more fuel in there. You would have to ask an expert in that area.
