aww i knew this day would happen, lol...o well thats wat i get for having 5% tint i guess. cops are so strict about tints down here in So Cal, i swear. uhm well its my first ticket, all i have to do is just get the tint off, then bring it to the police station and get it written off then send the ticket to the court right? sorry im such a noob lol

I get stopped all the time for my tints, 5%, but i get off sometimes on sayin its not my car.......that and plus im military, so my registration sticker says department of defense.

remove tint
call local police station and request an officer to swing by to exam your fix-it citation and he or she will sign it off
goto court house with citation with officers sig on the back. pay fee (usually 5-20 at most)

man you'll all lucky down here in GA I got pulled today I gotta pay a fine of $1000 and i haven't change the tint yet so i might be facing 12 months in jail, GA law sucks ***

You can't be serious 12 months in jail just for a $1000 fine the most you would do for not paying a fine is probably a month in jail which is probably three weeks tops. Good luck to you.

i'm in georgia too. my tint is 20% on a coupe. every window but the windshield. i haven't been pulled over for nothin. how dark is your tint to get a 1000 fine?

i have all mine tinted minus windshield... two warnings...this second warning the cop was a bastard and told me either i removed it in a week and showed him or he'd come find me, ticket me, rip my inspection sticker off, and tow the car...

it seems like for those penalities, its more than just window tint IMO. what did the officer cite you for?

Just take someone else's car w/o tint to the station. They just look at the windows and then write it off and then you go pay the fine. Cost me $10.
