Getting License Taken Away*Updated 5/14*
...and yesterday as I'm driving back from VA droppin my parents off at the airport at 5 am.. i cross the American Legion Bridge that connects MD and VA and
theres a cop stakin out with his speedblaster gun and ****.. pulls me over for 89 in a 55.
1. I was going a bit faster than the flow of traffic(5 am theres trucks going 80 mph not mention the bridge is on a decline)
2. It's 5 am hardly anyones around
3. I was tired as hell I didn't even sleep that night so I could drive my parents
4. My speedometer isn't working
*UPDATED* I realize that I didnt emphasize that my speedometer was inactive (from a faulty gauge cluster swap) however, a month later from the stop, I've gained documentation that it wasn't working, i got it fixed at mechanic with documents, i have pictures of the gauges inactive the day i got stopped, and i have a lawyer now also..
Man, it really does suck..for those of you who could put yourself in my position. I'm on the verge of losing alot of things now because I've been careless. Even if my speedometer wasn't working, I know I was speeding..I've got so many regrets because now everything is on the line. I should have slept before I drove my parents, I shouldn't ahve even drove with a non working speedometer. BUT you know the only thing i can do now is suck it up and take it!

damn man, i get my license back 2morrow and u get urs taken away, how long is it gone for? mine was 3 months, it was hell i learned how 2 deal with it, and i discovered the joys of sittin behind the wheel and making engine noises lol

Rep Power: 294 yea i realised this after a few months of mistakes... the last two times i've been pulled over werent for speeding... tint and stop sign (the stop sign was bogus and the cop admited it lol) but now i just drive 5 over or with the flow of traffic

I got one ticket for 94 in a 65, that was it.. thing is tho, I've had a few close calls since then and almost gotten busted, and just today I was going almost 45 in a 30. yea, I know its not smart.. its also hard to control your driving sometimes. I try.. im just glad I haven't been busted a 2nd time. I've been pulled over 3 times total... 94 in a 65 being the 3rd. (1st and 2nd were warnings, one for red plate covers and the other for rolling a stop on campus @ 1am)

It sucks to hear bro, but it seems like you deserve it. I have been driving for 2 years and no moving violations.

i was not in as bad as spot as you i had speeding 15 over and going threw a stop sign all within one year of having my licence. i learned my lesson hopefully you will now learn yours, its a bezoch but its something that needs to be learned

Rep Power: 0 if u r not over the age of 18 n got that many tickets already, i think the state should make u get a car that cant go over 70. u obviously didnt learn ur lesson after 10 tickets so the state should take action.
damn dude seriously so many damn tickets and you haven't learned your lesson. I got mine (80 in a 50, 3am too) and haven't driven faster than the flow of traffic since.

Rep Power: 0 Damn! 10 tickets before you lost your license! In DE that 90 in a 55 would have cost you a 3 month suspension. I'm moving to MD.

I would suggest slowing down and driving no more then 10 over the speed limit...and flowing with traffic is not an excuse.My second suggestion would be to learn where all the speed traps are...here is a LINK that might help you out and in the worst case you can try to sweet talk the cop.

hey man i'm not trying to be the old dude that knows nothing about what its like to be a kid because i'm 16 and i've been driving for nearly 2 years. i've been pulled over 3 times in the last 3 months for going 90 in a 65, 45 in a 40, and 45 in a 35. after i got my last ticket i sat down by myself in my room at night when everything was quiet and what not and thought really hard about what i'm doing. some things i thought about and maybe you should think about are:
1) i absolutely love my car more than any material object and if some dumbass pulled out in front of me when i'm going say 80 me and my car are wrecked for sure i go to the hospital car goes to junk yard money insurance doesnt pay for it because i get a wreckless driving ticket etc. etc. etc....
2) i'm cruising down a residential street pimping in my car
having a good time when i glance up and see the light turn yellow, i floor it and shoot through and right as i make it through a 3 year old girl runs out into the street chasing a frog or some **** POW! just like that i go to juvenile delinquint center. and i have the rest of my life to think about myself the good driver that i am killing a 3 year old girl. she could have been a great person but never got the chance because of me.
3) i'm on an open road just flying because i want to feel the rush, car edges past 60, flys by 70, the red needle hits 90 right as i see a rock in the road just big enough to tear off my front bumper and scrape the **** out of my underbody so i swerve out of the way and think nothing of it untill i try to straighten the car out and it doesnt respond right away so i try to correct it more and before i realize whats happening i'm going 75 mph sideways down the road and BAM! the seatbelt tightens against my chest and i cant breathe BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! over and over again. i counted five of the loudest metal crushing sounds i've ever heard before i fall into unconsiousness. never to wake up. never to enjoy the great things in life. never to become successful. never.
look around when your driving and tell me how many people you see driveing like you drive or like i used to drive.
