Please Help!

So im pissed!!!!!!!!!
I took my car down to get the new clutch/flywheel installed since I couldn't get ahold of any of my buddies with the right tools and Im an impatient person. I THOUGHT everything would be ok, its a small shop and they looked like nice people. Well I was WRONG!
Heres the beginning of the ordeal:
- I make call to get quote; $250 (2 weeks ago)
- I call back to actually make appt and get different quote of $225
- I take my car in and they ask what I was quoted...so I said $200, he said fine and writes it on the invoice. I Leave my car with them and get on my way.
- Next day I call in at 4:15 to see if it was done and they tell me its really close to being done; should be done at 5:00. So I was like alright cool...

They call me at 5:15 saying "Hey, you car is done, but we had order a differnt throwout bearing, the one yours came with didn't fit. The part is $40! I'm like "WTF! You didn't even get authorization from me to get that part, I gave you everything you needed, you shouldn't have bought anything else"

So now Im paying what I was originally quoted which in the first place isn't that bad...but the fact is they are trying to screw me. So im just pissed at these people but they have the keys to my car and the shop is like in the back alley of a not so good part of town. So i pay the fawkers and tell them i'd be contacting the "beauru of automotive blah blah" They're like "oh we're so scared" basically and thats the end of it. Im 40 bucks out, but I got my car and new clutch. So whatever, right? WRONG!!!!!!!

They pull it out for me and there is a FAT A$$ dent on the driver side front fender. I KNOW it wasn't there before i dropped it off and they "KNOW" it was there when i dropped it off. So its my word vs theirs; HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF THIS?????

small claims court. it doesn't sound like they are too willing to help anyone out or show the slightest hint of customer service.

well, a lot of those bureaus don't really have any power as far as a legal standard. Organizations like the better business bureau are just for consumers to check and see if there are complaints against someone and to help them decide if they want t do business with them. It is certainly worth a try to contact any of them to find out what course of action to take against them. But keep in mind, you won't be losing out on anything if you do go to court. You can take them to court and include time you've missed form work and any other expense to you. Of course I would use this as a lst resort but never the less, check with the different bureaus in your area and get some info.

No problem. I hope it turns out for the best for you. I know I'd be pretty mad if that happened to me. Just don't give in to them. They damaged your car so they are responsible for it. Just talk with everyone you can to try to resolve the situation. Good Luck!
