Yes you can get pulled over, and yes you can get a ticket for it. But most cops will tell you to fix it and give you a warning. But go get a new one and fix it, it takes less then a minute to replace a bulb in the headlight. Then you wont have to worry about getting pulled over.

if your passenger side headlight is out they may let you go....but if your driver side is out they will give you a fix it ticket.

you dont need to take your bumper off to replace a headlight. If you are changing it on the passanger side, your hand should fit in there, if it is the drivers side, just move the power steering resovior and you should have room. No need for bumper removal.

No need to take off the whole bumper!! Read your Civic manual!! it'll give you instructions for replacing a headlight, or anyother life on your civic.

Edit: Misspelled "light"... doh!

Good stuff! Atleast you gain knowledge from hands-on experience. But i cant imagine a 75 year old man with civic sedan trying to take off his bumper just to change a blown headlight!

You have some resistance in the wire somewhere. Your headlights run in a parellel circuit meaning that when one headlight goes out, the other will still work. Also your wiring to the headlight bulb has normal resistance in it, but right now there is some added resistance in the wiring usually cause by corrosion, or moisture somewhere. Best bet would be to get the wiring diagram for your car and locate the circuit for your headlights and go through to locate where the resistance is.

Hope that helps you. If it was the fuse, then neither of your headlights would work.

Also check your ground for a loose or corroded connection to the headlights.
