unless you have a really really good lawyer, you might be able to pull it off, but I highly doubt it. Why were you going that fast anyway?

Honestly if you cant afford it, you should really start driving the speed limit. I cant afford my insurance no more so I am obeying every traffic law. Its hard to get something like that reduced because you were going over 100.

I think the only thing you have going for you is the fact that you have been a good boy for the past couple of years. Thats awsome, you can seriously use that.
When you were speeding was it really late at night?
I got a ticket for driving really fast and blowing through a stop sign in my neiborhood. It was about 1am. I went to court and said:
"Look im really sorry, I was so exhausted and i was really close to my house so i just took the stop sign." and the judge took the entire ticket off.
I think that if you can get anything reduced as long as you clean yourself up, put on a Hugo Boss suit and just look really respectible for the judge, he will totally help you out.

7k a year on coverage! CRAP THATS A LOT OF MONEY! I pay $2200!

your judge must have had some really good sex that morning before work.

I wish I had the same insuance you all do. Mine is around $8000 a yr. Give or take a thousand or so.

**** I have never gotten off once in court unless I had plead not guilty. But other times, they would just tell me to pay the fine if I did it.

The fact that you've been clean for awhile will help, but you're gonna need a lawyer. Playing the technical end of "beat the radar" (as in the + / - 3 mph) is a dangerous tactic unless you've got a lawyer that specializes in traffic cases.

And thanks for making me appreciate my insurance...$600 a year is really nice. (grin)

Yea I always say the same thing. WTF?

But I have around 20 tickets on my record. My local courts prosecutor is an *******. Everytime I go in, my only option is to pay the fine, or plead not guilty even if I am pretty much guilty.

It should go down by next yr.

I was ticketed for 103mph on the 14FWY. I showed up in court and plead not guilty, then at the second court appearence the officer did not show up. So it was dismissed. The penalty is usually a loss of license for 30 days plus community service. That is what my layer told me. He also said that there is really nothing a layer could do in court with this traffic citation. I was 19 at the time if age factors into the ticket. Good luck.

Well alot of people get them because they dont want **** going on there record. I dont see a need for them either unless you got a ticket for something harsh Like going 100, or DWI, or what not. But for the basic speeding, running red lights, no there is no need for one.
