kinda long, but please bear with me
Back in the beggining of february i ordered a VIS CF Invader hood from www.streetrays.com . I get the hood shipped to me directly from VIS and it is a OEM style
I call up streetrays and talk to the representive that i originally dealt with, he called up VIS and they admitted it was thier fault. His VIS rep is a guy named Andy. Andy told my guy for me to call him and talk to him since it was their fault. I call and he tries talking me into keeping the OEM, i said if i wanted OEM, i would have ordered OEM
So, he says, ok, we are out of stock right now, but we'll ship one out to you and they will pick the other one up. He told me they should have them within 3 wks. So i call back, no hoods, i repeatedly call back every wk or 2 asking for Andy and asking him about the hood. He keeps telling me that they didn't recieve them yet. So i call up my guy at streetrays and ask him what is up, he calls Andy and Andy tells him that i am not to deal with streetrays since it is their fault. So, the other day, i call up and ask about a Invader hood for a '01 civic.......they say they will have them friday. Friday i call up and ask for Andy, and tell him that i hear that you got hoods in. He says no, not yet. I said, when they come in, will it automatically get sent to me or do i have to keep calling? He says, you can't deal with me, you bought the hood from streetrays, you have to go through them. I said, you told me that I have to go through you, he said, no, you have to deal with streetrays.
So, i call up my guy at streetrays, he calls Andy and Andy gives him a bunch of b/s and they get into a argument and now nothing..... and my guy at streetrays has to find a new rep at VIS cuz Andy is a cumguzzler.
I need you help guys, what should i do.......contact the BBB ????? How do i do that ????
I don't wanna get a lawyer cuz that would cost more than the hood is worth
PLEASE

ok, latest news........i talked to Andy at VIS and he said that they closed streetrays acct. for selling hoods too cheap. So, since i gave streetrays money, i have to deal with them. So, i called streetrays and he said that I have to send my hood back to VIS and give him a tracking #.......when VIS recieves the hood and tell him and refund him some of the money, he will give me a full refund.
What do you guys think ???

I don't deal with VIS anymore after the ordeal I had with them about my octane kit 3 years ago. I bought the kit, took over a month and a half to get to me(they didn't ship for about 3 weeks, then the shipper couldn't deliver it to me for another 2 cause they didn't have a truck coming this way). Once it did, they had sent the wrong skirts. Took an additional 2 months to get the corerct skirts. Both times I recieved an invoice marked paid in full. @ years later, I get a letter from a collections agent for the shipping company saying I owed them for shipping. I called them, and explained the ordeal to them. They said I had to contact VIS. I did so, they said that I still owed for shipping. I explained to them I got invoices on two occasions showing that the parts and shipping were paid in full. They repeatedly denied those documents existed. I faxed them to them. They said those were forged. Then I faxed a copy to the shipping company. They then took it to VIS to collect for shipping. I ended up having to go to litigations to get the matter cleared up. After 2 and a half years, I got the matter straightened out, plus the judge made them (VIS) look like retards in court. But hey, shouldn't quote a price, and send an invoice saying paid in full if you don't mean it. And yes, I paid the total amount they quoted me. They're about as intelligent as a box full of dirty rocks.

It's a shame that we have to learn these lessons the hard way
my work envolves a lot of legal implications, so I'll tell you the best way to take care of this.
1) make sure you have the receipt of purchase showing the actual item you bought.
2) get a tape recorder
3) contact VIS and request to speak with Andy "the cumguzzler"
4) once he's on the phone, tell him before even getting into the conversation "Hey Andy, I wanted to talk to you about my hood, but before I continue, I'm just letting you know that I'm recording the conversation as verification for the information your giving me". If he hangs up, you know he's a "cumguzzler" and you can go directly to the BBB with the proof of purchase and the recorded hang-up. If he doesn't hang up, get him to explain exactly what happened in his own words.
5) Contact streetrays and tell your buddy the exact same thing. I'm pretty sure he'll have no problems with it, since he's legit!
6) Contact the better business bureau and inform them of the documentation and consented recorded conversations you have.
The BBB will conduct a formal investigation with the information you provided, and if all goes well, you'll get the product you ordered and Andy will be out of a job!
