I got a friend that wants to get rid of his 22, and I told him I'd take it off his hands. What do we need to do in order to transfer ownership?

Any tests I have to take to certify that I am of stable mind and have enough safety common sense to own a gun or anything like that?

Again it is personal sale from on person to another...any help would be helpful.

you need a permit to own a firearm if you wanna do it legally or you can just buy it and dont say nothing matters what your gonna use it for hunting or shootin cans ie

Find a local gun dealer, they'll prepare the FFL paperwork for you for some fee (I think usually around $20).

if u havent been convicted of any crimes and are not considered legally insane then u can buy it. there are many many regulations and since u are from california it gets even stricter. check out this webpage http://www.firearmslawcenter.org/content/home.asp

oh by the way just yesterday, April 23, 2004, i purchased my own gun. Romanian WASR-10 (AK-47) havent got to shoot it yet cus all the shooting ranges i found say i cant shoot there due to the high projectile velocity of the bullet.

also i took my cousin with me to the gun shop to buy the gun and he said when i was filling out the papers i my had was shaking. i was shaking because i was so excited!

Yeah, Change is right. Go to a gun shop and they'll do the FFL stuff for you. They'll also hold the gun for 10 days for the whole 10 day waiting period bs.
