hey guys, i got a ticket toninght. i was going 53 on a 35. he gave me a ticket, which im lucky for because i should have been arrested. Im confused on whether or not if i am REQUIRED to go to court. somone let me know. The guy told me that i can call in 10 todays to get my fine and mail it in but on the ticket it says you are ordered to appear in court on this date *INSERT DATE HERE*. if i am required to go to court, do you think they will suspend my license? i had my permit for a year with no tick./accident and nmy license for 1 year and 1/2 and no ticket or accident except expired tag.

Well here it is, i just had that speeding ticket as you can see above. Well, this morning i was driving back from the atlanta airport after dropping my mom off at 6:30 this morning. I drove back home on hwy. 285, and for those of you that know atlanta, and know 285, the speed limit is 55 but no one in atlana would becaught dead driving that slow, cuz if u did, you would be dead. I was simply driving with traffic, cruisin at about 70 - 75, all of a sudden i see the notorious blue lights and strobing headlights. He pulls me over, says, why were you going to that fast. i said politely, im sorry sir, i didnt know i was driving very fast, and asked, How much did you get me at? he said "You were doing well above 90 when i saw you." i was thinking in my head, this is bull ****, i just got on the highway and ive stayed in my lane, what the hell is this guy thinking. Anyway, i give him my license and insurance he comes back with a ticket for 75 on a 55. I looked at the ticket with in the pictures is ticket number 1, and he didnt mark how he got me for speeding, he just checked, speed checked by patrol car. I'd like to fight it but im not real sure what to do. Will my Insurance company automatically find out? If i just mail in my two fines is there still a chance my license will get suspended?

hum i got a ticket for going 10 or 15 over cant remeber on a probationary licence and it was only like 4 points off 2 would be if i had my normal licence. with only a 90 buck fine. i dont think you will lose your licence but your insurance will go up i belive.

You should be able to either pay the fine or go to court and fight it...just call in 10 days and they can answer all your questions.

I dont think they'll take your lic for this

in georgia we have a points limit of 4 if your under 18, and i have these two speeding tickets in a weeks and the ticket i got today was 3 points and the one i got last week was 2 points so i have exceeded it. is there any chance that if i mail in my fines that they wont notice that i have gone over on points.

probably not if your over they send some stuff to your house i belive from what i remeber when my friend lost his. but i did have a friend drive every day for 6 months without a licence.

probably just best to tell your rents you lost your licence when the stuff comes in the mail then try and hide it.

since lets say you do lose your licence and try to hide the tickets. 1. your insurance is going to skyrocket for the next few years probably untill your 21 so your parents are going to notice that.
2. if you drive without your licence and get caut you get an even bigger fine.

its proabbly only 6 months if you do lose it and its winter any ways who wants to drive during winter lol
