State Trooper Badges, PBA Cards: Do they work?

On my windshield I have a "State Trooper Honorary Decal". They are very hard to come by. Each officer is allowed to have two I believe for family. I got mine from a friend. It most def. has helped me get through some tough calls with cops because they think "Im on their side". I've been pulled over 2 times with it for speeding and tints and no ticket. No warnings. Just "have a nice day and drive safe.

These stickers are GOLD. I don't have any PBA cards, but I'm sure I'll collect some through the years. Some of my friends are training to be cops so it should work out fine.

Who else uses the PBA Cards, PAL Stickers, or any other Honorary Decals? Have they saved you before?

I refuse to put police stickers, lic plates on my car because it becomes a target.

If I get pulled over I have a badge in my wallet and I usually have my gun with me.

Yeah, police dont like it when you try to snake your way out of tickets. Its best to just be honest and straight forward.

Even better if you can find something in common with them. I got pulled over while in high school right after soccer practice and I got a warning because the officer played when he was in high school.

^ Agreed!

Last time I got pulled over the name on the officers tag looked familiar. When he saw he my liscense he was like "I have family in your town." "Do you know my nephew?" I did, and I got off the ticket.

Police Benevelent Association.

It basically showing that you are supporting what they are doing in the community. Sometimes they ask for donations, or have fund raisers. There are also PAL (Police Athletic Leagues) for sports teams in the community. I support it all, and I got the stickers for my car.

in honolulu (hawaii) they have red ones (an officer usually recieves like 2 of them) and blue ones (officers can give to their friends). i know they pretty much don't pull over anyone with a red one and they let a lot of people with the blue on off.

How do you renew them for the next year? I have a 2003 sticker from a friend, I would like a 2004.

I think I should call the police station first before I scrape the sticker off... then then it will look like i could have stole it from a car?

What should I do ?
