actually you'd know the times are pretty accurate if youve ever ran from the cops before. i past one at 90 and hit the breaks so hard i cooked them, turned onto a side street and waited for 2 whole minutes till he flew by. and the street i turned onto was not even 100 yards from where i passed him.

Yes... do you all know how much Shiz they got inside those things??? I personally never run from the cops... i'm too scared of getting caught turning down a side street... and then getting into more ish... but ya... those things aren't very fast... they are like a lot of us civic owners, they think they are fast, so they drive fast, but really aren't...
I've worked on several cop cars, and they are loaded with ish! They are set up for high speed cruising not acceleration, and the suspension is meant for driving over curbs without bottoming out, not dragging off the line. I passed a statie at 86 in a 65 and it took easily 1 min for him to go from 0 -whatever he pulled me over at with me slowing down to 65 beforehand! Those cars have serious torque, but don't move until there over 40-45 MPH.
police cars are hella slow...my friends and i used to get their attention and set them on pursuits.
jk
Just this past christmas I went to a party and accidently ran a red light. A patrol car came out from no where and his lights were flashing so i floored the gas, and the next thing i know about 3 or 4 patrols cars were after my ***. it was scary and embarassing because there were a grip of people, but i managed to get away.
