Wow....I think I broke a mileage record! (PICS)

So as most of you know I was out in Nova Scotia helpin Jen move to Woodstock. We had planned to take both are cars back on Friday but her brother and I couldn't get hers back in running order so we stored it at her mom's place.

We wound up stuffin as much into my car as we possibly could and even went as far as to put a roof pouch on the car.

So Tuesday I headed off for Sydney which is about 1700 km's give or take. I left at 4am...it was a nice drive. I got to her place around 9pm (8pm est) because of costruction delays.

Spent the next few days there helpin her get everything packed and brought out to the charity drop off (church) and a pile of other stuff.

Anyway...We left Sydney at 6:30pm Friday (5:30pm est) and set off for Ontario. We had MAJOR problems with the retarded roof rack that IS supposed to fit my car but when we hit a bump doing 80 it almost flew right off the car. Jen just screamed.."OMG" and I looked up to the sunroof to notice that the pouch was gone..lol. It was 90 degrees verticle on the back rack..lol. We had to stop 4 times to fix it. We made it to Point Hawksbury and hit up a Walmart for some ratchet straps....**** the rack..hehe. That set us back like 4 hours. We didn't even get off the island until 10:30.

So we drove all night in crazy fog. I made it to somewhere in New Brunswick before Jen demanded I stop and let her drive..lol. She drove through the rest of NB and most of Quebec.

We arrived in Ottawa at 1:00 Saturday afternoon and stayed at a hotel in Kanata until Sunday morning. We hit the pool with her son and then later on Jim and Jo stopped in for a visit.

Left Ottawa at 11:30 and got to Woodstock at like 4:30 or something like that. I left Woodstock at 12:40 last night and got home at 5am. I got in an accident on the 401 near the 1000 Islands. Check the link for more..lol.
So I'm not sure how many clicks all that is but figure 3400km's return (Ottawa to Sydney) and then like another what...800 or 1000 return from Ottawa to Woodstock and back the same day? That's a **** load of km's from Tuesday to basically Sunday...lol

Here are some pics I thought I would toss up. Jim saw the car at the hotel...**** was LOW...lol. Rear wheels tucked totally.

Packed at Jen's (with the roof rack we later tossed)

Jen's son Ryan sleeping amidst the pile of blankets and stuff in the back seat.

Jen driving my car through NB. She hates having her picture taken..lol

somewhere in NB at about 5am

At Jen's dad's in Woodstock. Not the ratchet straps in place of the rack..hehe
