Telemar .... .... KETERS!!!! I HATE THEM I WANT THEM ALL TO DIE!!!!!!
I was talking to Jim about these people earlier today. I had explained to him that some goofball called me trying to give me a "FREE" cell phone from Bell Mobility. He wouldn't take no for an answer, and even though I told him that I was with Rogers, he just kept on ASKING WHY... WHY ... WHY... "Can I ask how long your contract is with Rogers" Fu(ck why is it that when someone they are talking to says NO, they don't SHUT UP!!!!
Than like 5 minutes ago, this guy called and started talking, and wouldn't SHUT UP! He wanted me to take 5 minutes out of my evening to answer a stupid survey! GAHHHH!!!!! I wish I could take the phone and smack them on the head with it!
Usually if I say "Hello" when I answer the phone, and no one answers, I hang up, but sometimes I hesitate, and THATS when they strike! They start talking, and I don't have the ***** to hang up on them mid sentance.
Lets hear everyone else's take on this matter.

i hate them. oh man do i hate them. i work in a call centre....but its all incoming calls thank god. sometimes when they call and ask for ppl i'll just play with the soundboards on ebaumsworld till they hang up. sometimes i tell them the person they're asking for died last week. once i just kept interupting them and saying "WHAT!??" pretending like im deaf. sometimes i just don't answer the phone.

Rep Power: 0 I love them when they call you just need to flip it on the use you indian accent and speak really bad english and swith from indian to chinese to russian accent all in the same converstion and they will get the hint not to call back or a good sorry I dont need it but ask them if they would like to start to worship the DEVIL!!!

Rep Power: 292 I used to be a telemarketer. Just remember this is probely the only job these people can get. Places like Sudbury have alot of call centers. This is how they are able to offer so many jobs. If there were no telemarketers hundreds of people would be unemployed just in Sudbury. IMO I try and be nice and tell them I am not interested. This is not an easy job. Just say "not interested" and hang up.

Rep Power: 0 I just watch tv, dont really listen, then say no, 5 minutes of my time in the evening listening to someone on the phone isnt that bad. mind you it happens like once a month. It almost always canadian tire trying to sell me some **** for one of my credit cards too.

Rep Power: 0 one time, my brother hung up on them twice, and picked up a third time and he said if u phone me back one more time, i'm gonna press charges for harassment... cuz supposively by law they can only phone the same house like a maximum of three times per day... or is it two times per day then the third time you can press charges... it's along the lines of that
