S'what friends are for
Ok, so as some of you know, my bike has been acting a lil odd lately.
On sunday, I had a hot date downtown...long story. Anyways, I brought my bike to this girls house in hopes of going out for some dimsum. When I got to her place, my bike died. I had JUST bought a new battery, too. (wasted 200 bones). So, we ended up havin to walk/bus to where we were goin...how gay is that?
When I went to leave her house when I was all done...the bike wouldn't start. I managed to get two/three houses down the road before it died completely. I knew it was electrical, but couldn't really pinpoint the problem. I lucked out, because the house I stopped infront of...turns out that guy races vintage ducatti's, and he even had a BMW bike in his garage. He even turned an old MG into EFI! Pretty impressive. Well, anyways, I sat there trying to fix the problem with him for over an hour...to no avail.
So, I gave up. I called my dad, and he came to help out. I also called Julian/Jeremy to see how they got their bike home...and as it turns out, it was in the back of jer's truck...which is no longer on the road. dang.
But, they came nonetheless. Jer and I managed to figure out that it was the stupid ignition harness that was gettin gay with kids. So, I stabbed it into the connector and was on my way..it didn't stall again until monday afternoon, but by that point, i had decided to take it all apart and fix it.
So, just thought I'd give a shout out to jeremy and julian (and caryn, and that other d00d, of course) for coming out on a random sunday (and it was gorgeous out, too) to help a brother out.
thanks guys...greatly appreciated!

oh yeah, and i almost forgot...I ripped it all apart, and sure enough, it was the ignition harness. The 'hot' wire was shorting out. It was red hot to the touch, and burnt on the inside.
I just cut out the connector, and soldered it all together...works like a charm now

date = good..besides bike bustin
warranty: bike warrantee's are useless. It's 1 year, 1000km's. I've got over 6500km's on mine, so, it's pretty much a done deal.

Gohanix: nah...think about it...people with bikes don't baby them. hehehe
they're made for driving hard, and that's all anybody does to them. nobody constantly pussies around on a bike.
especially a sport bike, too. hence...barely any warrantee. the basic warrantee is just to cover the event that you get a lemon. other than that, you're on your own.
punks.
