Camping
K so alot of us have been talking about going camping. I think it would be best to start a thread about this so we can get organized. Julian, Jer and I are planning to go camping for the May long week-end. So I am inviting anyone who would like to join us. We are not to sure where we wanna go yet BUT we have to decide soon. Since this is the first offical week-end to go we have to make reservations. So everyone who is interested please let us know. If you have a good campground that you think we should go to please list it up. Anyone who would like to go is more then welcome. Here is the deal.....
I will organize this. I will get the info about the campground that we will stay at. I will also make the reservations. The thing is with most places you need a deposit and they will not refund the money after a certain time. So if you say your going and give me the cash and then cancel out. Your cash will only be returned if the campground gives it back. If they don't I will not refund the money out of my pocket. So please make sure you can go before you pay up. I will also need the cash inadvanced to make the reservation. I do not want to run after anyone for the cash. If I don't have the cash in my hand 2 weeks before we go then I wil not include you in the reservation. Please keep in mind most campground charge extra for extra cars. The last place we went to charged $5 every extra car on the site.
Like I said I will take car of reservations and such but you are in charge of your own food, drinks and everything else camping related. So lets post up and tell me if your in or not.

It will be the May long week end. This thread will be good for any camping trips we decide to do. I know there are a few long week-end this summer. So lets try and make a week-end where everyone can come.

IMPORTANT!!!! *sorry Caryn, but you left out a biggie*
May 2-4 being a "long weekend" all provincial parks have an alcohol ban on. Meaning...... no booze
This is what myself and some friends did last May 2-4 weekend. Every time we went to Tim Hortons, we asked for "double cups" and we saved the 2nd cup. This way we didn't have to drink out of bottles. We had about 50 or so saved between all of us
When we packed all our stuff for the drive down, we put all our drink on the bottom of the coolers, and placed all our food on top, so this way if they ask to look, they won't see the alcohol.
Seeing as how you guys will be a large group, the Park "rangers" have the right to do spot checks, and they probably will. So be carefull!
They will probably harrass you guys all weekend to, depending on where you go.
Unfortunately we will be unable to attend, my parents are leaving for BC for a couple weeks, and we need to take care of the dog, they leave the 20th

if you go camping there's one important thing to remember...
"I heard somewhere their periods attract bears. They can smell the menstruation."
