From what I understand .. all his family has to change insurance (as they are all getting discontinued). That or it is really to expensive to stay with the same company.

The address in Quebec part of it I believe is possibly because cheaper rates exist for Quebecers than for Ontarians

I know I went through the same **** when the insurance company reviewed my parents' file. They shopped around, but it helped that my dad knew a couple of insurance agents.

Good luck looking though

fucck I hate insurance, first they charge you up the *** for something that is "mandatory", but then they can just cancel you cause they think you're too much a risk!? Man that's BS.

I wish inssurance was a god damn crown corporation! Driving in Ontario is honestly shiit.

My 2 cents, but John man, you'll figure something out, just make sure you stay on top of your options.

I personally don't have any good advise, just some bitching to do. Sorry to hear that.

The reason you got booted is cause you went over your limit. With insurance companies it states in your contrat how many minor and major accident/chrges you can have. If you go over they will cancell your contract. For instance with my insurance I am allowed 2 minor and 1 major before I get booted. I would get a broker and shop around. It may be hard to find a company and when you do it your insurance may skyrocket. Were you insured with your parents. It may be in there best interest to go with a different company then you. Might save them some money. I also know that when you get booted from an insurance company it is really hard to find another company to insure you. Again just get a broker and shop around. I hate insurance companies. Good luck John. Get on top of this. Try to change companies asap just so you don't run out of time. BTW if you leave your company early (to go to another company) don't let you your insurance company (the one you with now) charge you for the remainding 2 months. Tell em to go fu(k themselves.

Yeah man sorry to hear ... my buddy was charged with "wreckless driving" back when he totaled his Prelude back in highschool. He's now 25 and has the Tiburon in Midnight Garage ... he pays like $6g's a year for insurance.

Best thing is to keep looking around while and hope that one gets a lower price ... but I think they will all be high ... sry dude.

john: i believe insurance in quebec is cheaper, i could be wrong though. try to shop primarily in quebec if you can (if you can get quebec plates and whatnot).

driving without insurance is a major felony...fukking stupid. what has society come to? don't get me started...

Yes but If I am gettin insurence in Quebec, I need a address and wto bills to get the licence and insurance I think. I will try everything but for now there's a huge possibility that I am gonna lose my civic. We will see..

and yeah I think insurance is most stupid thing of all on driving. Accidents are what they are for not for just to show the police the paper slip when you get pulled over. Insurance is for Accidents and they are kicking me out because I had an accident.

his car is a recent civic, it would pass for sure! But you'd need a quebec address and quebec plates... probably alot of trouble... as for the noise increase, they're alot less strict for that, cause alot of cops got made fun of in court by the judge for not providing any proof that the mufflers they gave tickets for were too loud.
