One Courtdate down, one more to go :D
today was my first courtdate for my tickets that I got and didnt feel like paying.
I got pulled over in Feburary saying disobey redlight for me having to slowing down in middle of the intersection because there was an ambulance and three police vehicles parked on the side of the road that I was going in to. I tried explaining to officer but he didnt even listen to me and said "if you have problems, See me in Court" and left.
So I went in today to see that basterd but, he didnt show up
I've never been to court so I wasnt sure what I was doing but all I said was, "I plea not guilty sir" and I was free to go with all charges dropped.
for those who've been to court, just currious cause I have another big one comming, if the officer shows up, do I have to go up and explain all the stuff and reasons?

i've been waiting for a court date for over a year now and still haven't gotten my date. guess the city of ottawa can just swallow their own nuts cause i refuse to pay.

Yeah for your big one, if the cop shows, the judge will get you to explain your side of the story in detail. Best bet is to not make it seem like your aggressive, angry or whatever at the cop, cause it wont get you anywhere.
Bring some knee pads, and get really sympathetic with the judge and hope for the best.
My buddy went to court before, and the judge just simply disagreed with him and agree with the cop, and he had to pay it up. Worth a try tho.
