Question hmm...what to do?

here's the thing.....the snow is comin eventually and my mom (of all people) made two suggestions...

1) Buy out the Civic (store it) and get a winter car.....then sell the Civic privately in the spring and get what I can. Then go get the RSX TypeS.

2) finish parting it out and buy it out. Drive it over the winter and then sell it. This a little more risky I think.

At least with option 1) I don't have to drive the new car in the winter and I'l already have the winter car for next time. In the end I'm probably keeping the Civic around too I'm really attached to it along with someone else. I could also save a **** load more for the down payment and just finance the damn thing. I could also collect parts for it throughout the winter.

you know my opinion, im not saying much more.... i dont think you should get rid of it, its beautiful, i LOVE her.... but i dont know bout the winters you have there other than what youve told me. Youll miss her so much when shes gone, I even do already! Just think about what Ive told you and what would make you happiest, i wouldnt take any one else's opinions on this one.

Mike, don't forget, the fall is the best time of year to buy a car. I say just go and get the Type S , get it rust proofed, and your set!

Mike you have already parted the car out. whats left? So you sold most of your parts cheap just to get rid of them. Now your going to keep the car and just put more money in it. I say sell it and get an rsx. Inless you do something special to the civic there really is no point in keeping it.

I have something very special in mind for the Civic. I don't mind that I parted out what I did already....I guess you would have to wait and see to understand.

Get RSX, do what you are thinking of doing to RSX.
Drive Stock for winter, save some $
and starting of spring, install stuff like ****
You already parted out your civic and remember why you wanted to get a newcar cause you said it had sht load of problems that noone will understand + your mileage
so, I say get a new ride and start a new project

ya but 95% of what was wrong with her was likely due to the retarded mechanics at my dealership....seriously.

i dunno mike...if i were you id go for the rsx and leave the vic behind. Get a fresh start on a new project, and have a faster car with more potential, factory warranty, and no problems. I dont see the point in keeping both unless u got alot of money...then its all good! But even if u keep ur vic u know all the money will go into the rsx, because it has soooo much more support and potential...and they are friggin sick!!

^ yup.. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=177327

the engine has ~160,000 on it, its from a 95 Si.. and the body's got 206. If you will be interested, we can negotiate the price.. as I know not everyone will pay 2000 for it, but there's been more money put into it since I bought it, so... I'm losing $ either way.

The forums over at montrealracing.com has a section devoted to cars under 3000 .. usually find cheap beaters there. Only problem would be transfering from Quebec to Ontario :-/

what! how could you play with emotions like that! first a moment of sadness - the civic is leaving. then a moment of joy, excitement, and touch of erotica - an RSX-S!
