My Poor Car.

Dang it!!! I must admit that I was a careless dumb a$$ driver and stupid.
today, @ Woodroof around 11am, I was driving down the south bound of woodroof where there were alot of glare or sunshine, I T-boned a old ladys car resulting $190 fine + lots of damage to my poor baby.
as it was recommended here, I gave my car to Booth Auto Body to fix it.
dang it, why why why why why!

bumper is useless, as well as lights, Hood and Rad.

That sucks. Just today I hit a patch of ice and almost hit another car. Hopefully insurance will pay for something.

My Eye Brows are Broken AHH!! I got them a month ago.. I am gonna tey to put them glued together..

OMG.. I just got a estimate from Booth Collision and they said their estimate is $11,100. front body including hood is usless, Radiator is useless, and there is a hole on transmission, so they will have to replace the gasket. the front body was shifted to left. good thing that it didnt touch the engine. I am not sure what I am gonna do but I am going with insurence so I will wait till what they have to say/estimate. but $11,000.. isnt that too much for a $20,000 civic? any suggestions you guys have? because my insurence will sky rocket. I was thinking about fixing it my self.. I donno what the hell I should do..

They're a reliable and reputable shop, I would take their word for it. Did you talk to Mike? You should always get more than one estimate though, talk to your insurance company and see what they say.

Yup I talked to mike.and someone from insurance will go check soon. I never been thru accidents so I might need some help. so to get another estimates, do I just go tell other bodyshops that I want a estimate and they will go check my car out at Booth Auto?

doesn't appear as though the car is mobile right now. I guess you could take a written estimate (if you have one) to another shop.

Seriously though, they're really good. The only other one I know is complicated because the paint has to be done in Pembrooke while the rest is done off industrial.

omg...dayum that really sucks. Im really sorry to hear about this. As for fixing it, it might be cheaper to go with non oem products. I say you get them to re-align the body, and fix the gasket. The buy a non oem, or used bumper and hood and install those you're self. Maybe that will save you some cash. Hopefully you figure it out. Good luck

Guy, I feel your pain, it's never easy having to get body work done b/c its soo damned expensive!!!

Check out your options, if your insurance will "skyrocket" then maybe the car should be written off. Talk to your insurance company, see what they say, man that really sucks, good thing is everyone is OK though!

Just a few things to let you know. If your car is over 2 years old your insurance company will not fix your car with genuine Honda parts. Fight for this cause they will put crap *** stuff on your car. Just tell them that if they don't put honda parts on it, it will lower your cars value. Also if the damage is a certain percentage of the cars value, you might have a right off. One more thing, if booth is not on the prefered list it is best to take the car to a place that is on the prefered list from your insurance company. Most insurance Companies have Honda shops on there lists. In the long run it is best for you. When our car got hit we took it to Dow Honda which was not on the prefered list. Now our paint is chipping and the insurance company could care less. You have a right to take it anywhere you want, so if you want Booth to take care of it, your insurance company has no say. What insurance company are you with? One more thing LOL whatever you do, do not take it to Dow Honda even if they are on the prefered list. Good luck and hope everything works out

yo man, 11K sounds like hella lot of money.

fixing it yourself: an option. but...you'd have to replace the actual bumper, not just the bumper cover.

also the rad, etc...it's gonna cost

but...I DO have a pair of black projectors with a blue halo ring. $200. Not trying to sell my soul, but thought I'd offer 'em incase they can help.

sorry to hear about the ride

What do you guys mean by write off? I am with Belair, and the car's little over 6 months old so they said they will go with full OEM parts unless I wanted something else that they have to talk with insurance.
tek, oem light set up fits those lights?
I got a rental rite now, Ford focus. It eats up gas alot so I am probly gonna change it to economic class car tomorro.

what do we mean by write off? if there's enought damage on your car (i think it's between 60 and 70% of the value of the car) they won't repair it, they'll just give you the money that your car is worth, or they'll get you a brand new car... depends on your insurance policy. But it seems as though they are going to repair it.
Like when i crashed my 2k1 it was a write off... i think it's pretty obvious by looking at the pic i posted... so that's why i have a 2k2 now.

Teks Lights

and Z3 style Fenders

I am first gonna have to go in to bodyshop and talk to them.

skiboard: d00d, I hate to say this, but you seriously lucked out getting into an accident hehehe

as if you're gonna get that kit!!! that's gonna be SWEET!

I don't have grills, but I can sell you the front and rear trim pieces so that they are black?

then again, you won't have a front one if you go with the vis hood, so maybe nevermind?

either way...your ride is gonna be hella tight kudos!

oh, and that's kewl about the lights. Anytime you want 'em, lemme know. (sorry Si2NV -- I think we can both agree that skiboard is in a bit more of a pinch, so he needs them)
