.. power.. luxury..
.. some 97+ lude wanted to race me the 2nd day i got my car - i didn't want to go over 4k rpms so i shifted just under 4k and he couldn't pass me until 75km/hr..
this thing is a beast w/ lsd i mainly need to do suspension mods first.
It's in direct competition with the g35, 350z, audi TT and bmw 330ci. but way cheaper and better interior - albeit i'd rather have the g35, but my gf wanted to stick with acura :P

I'm on the island, if i head down to van, wanna take me for a ride?
I'm planning on buying a new car anytime now (civic's for sale). and a 2001 CL-S is one of my options, i want it for the luxury, and power. but i'm afraid of tranny probs, and it would involve financing, which i really dont want to do that much.

Yes the 2001 CL-s have some pretty well known tranny problems, but should be fully covered by Acura so you're still pretty safe there. The 2002 models don't have those problems so i believe the fix is already available. The 2k1 Cl-s shouldn't be too pricey since the new 2k3 w/ 6MT are out the older models should have a sign price drop. I believe you're looking at around 30k for a 2001 cl-s and i estimate you'll have at least a trade in value of your civic of at least 14-17k depending on model and mileage so financing 20k isn't that bad. If you DO come to van let me know and i'll see what i can do - my friend knows the manager at Lougheed Acura and I'm good with Bob (manager) at Burrard Acura since i bought 2 in one day.
But personally, if i were you, i wouldn't trade in the civic for a 2k1 cls, at least go for a new rsx-s or a 2k1 tl-s Aspec. Those are NICE!

I'll be in van tonight. yay. my sister is spinning at the drink. so i'm coming down to check it out. haha, just need to figure out the transit system. gewww, loser cruiser. my civic is in edmonton so i dunno if a trade is a good plan, it might be easier to sell in etown and take the cash up and use it as a down payment. civic is paid for so. if i get say 16k or 17k i should have a good down on a 30k car.

Hey so you're in Vancity already? Sweet... where are you staying? How long?
16-17k is definately a good downpayment on the CL-s.. or you could even go for the TL-s w/ Aspec.
