Damn man, that car is looking hot as hell, can't wait to see the finished product you'll be just in time for when all the snow and crap is gone off the streets, so you can take it out for a few good runs

yeah it's gonna be a different car for sure. it'll actually give me some time to break the engine in before letting it loose in the summer. I might have to take it to the track for a couple 1/4 mile runs.

What do you figure you could get for your civic if you sold it?

Thats okay, the Yammie is a whole lot faster than the Vic. I took the CBR out today for a spin, while I was walking it out of my crescent, the *** of the bike hit some ice and came around and landed flat, bent my rear brake lever, put a sizable hole in the clutch cover, damn it. Still went for a ride though, but its cold as ***** out there. Coupled with the fairing damage, its gonna take another grand to get it back to normal. Right now your R6 sounds so much hotter than my bike...

hahaha.. no worries.. plastics are repairable.. I already have some of the new fairings from the dealership already.. just the right hand uper and lower fairing are a little scuffed up.. not too bad.. err front wheel is rashed like crap.. haha I just paint it over with black paint.. kekeke.. still rideable.. only need new one if it's warped. yeah.. 4 more months man.. err I mean 3 more months.. spring/summer will be back again.. Well we should go for a cruise one of these summer nights man..

Jason: if I sold it as it is.. I might get around 15G's.. compared to what the listing prices for based LX-G. just plain old.. haha.. yeah.. or I just keep the civic and save up my 10G's another way.. hurray 3.2G's back from taxes kekeke.

Tomorrow its supposed to be nice outside, then go back to hell again, unfortuantely I'm stuck at the U the entire bloody day. Plastics are repairable, but I bent the rear-set and brake lever, so now I have no rear brake and my rear brake light is always on, I'm in the process of Ebaying a new brake assembly. I'll give it another month, 2 tops, until its totally dry

See if you can get that rim straightened, didn't that guy who reassembled that salvage GSXR, or some other bike, take his wheel to some wheel straightener here in town? Yeah, we'll have to cruise it up some time

If I can convince the wife to let me have another bike, then maybe I'll be joining you boys. She's a little miffed after my last accident.

Just find somewhere to hide it, like..under..something..or in the backyard or something. I managed to hide a bike beside someone's house for 5 days before he noticed it. On the upside, its 6oC today and I think that calls for a ride

hey, you up on bleeding brakes? I've got to replace the entire rear brake assembly on the CBR when it arrives and I have almost absolutely no idea how to do it. Lever, peg, bracket, brake sensor, everything, and I really don't feel like paying someone $85/hr for a simple job..

Dre: Muahhaha.. yeah $85 bones/hr for some minor things.. I just get a service manual and do it myself... When you doing this thing? better be in a warm garage with heat haha.. Just ordered some stuff from the states now for the R6. New frame sliders.. Zero Gravity dubble bubble windscreen.. haha too bad I don't got anymore money... there would be new plastics and carbon fibre rims.. haha. but slowly repairing.

pride: When you getting your bike man? Kawi or Honda?

I'll be replacing stuff when my shipment arrives from Ebay, I got a great price on an entire rear brake assembly, resevoir and all. But I have absolutely no idea how to do it, I think its pretty much bolt in, but I want to avoid introducing air into the lines. No heat in my garage, but the way the temperature is going it'll be okay.

Sounds like you've got some decent gear on the way, I should invest in some frame sliders too I think, might save me the messed up fairings that last weeks ice slip caused :\

sounds good. Bleeding the brake lines is pretty easy.. just time consuming. unless you get the special tools.. or just do it cheaply.
The sliders are a good investment. Saves the engine yoz. or get a Cage but that's gonna cost some dough.

Yeah, my clutch cover broke the engines fall last time, I just bought a new one from Scona Cycle, ~$40, for an aluminum coaster about 4" in diameter. Its not so much bleeding the brakes that I'm not farmiliar with, but when I reinstall the new brake assembly I'll have to deattach all the hoses from the brake caliper itself, which, is you would imagine, will introduce air into the lines. I'll also have to reconnect the brake light sensor, as my brakes are now permanently on, I'll have to find someone w. small hands

Yeah I bought the CBR off of BrianG, and when I did he told me that there are few things so irritating as getting the air out of the lines on that bike, so I'm not looking forward to it, esp. seeing as how I've never swapped out brake fluid in my life.

Amazing 'winter' today, I skipped out on some studying and went for a ride around 6.oo, I'm going to miss this weather comes Thursday

Good luck putting the R6 together again!
