What's going on?

This section hasn't been this dead since the winter tires came on and the first snowflake hit the ground last year. WTF?? what's everyone up to? Who's modding what, who's meeting where, and who's getting new rides?

like stated before, the alberta representation has died completely. Nobody meets anymore, or at least says anything on this site, half the people have left for good. hell half the people don't even post anymore. SHould we run down the list? I thought we were suppose to have a president and that gentleman was suppose to recruit more members? Obviously that was never going to happen.

I see so many modded civs around the city and I wonder if they cruise around or talk **** with other car owners cuz I would like to join in as well. I here rumours of guys getting together at United cycle and the Odysium. I looked last friday and saw no one. Does anyone around here know of any good places to hang with other car enthusiasts?

To me it seems everyone is growing out of the scene and moving to bigger and better rides. Hanging out and socializing is no longer fun for them. I think it was too "clicky" to begin with. Especially when the president asked me to come to the meets and assured me everyone was friendly and socialable.

ALL IMO!!!!!

i honestly was going to make an effort to come out this season. Then I put off the first meet and now have been caught up in a busy work schedule. it's never fun when it's just 2 or 3 people. I wonder how the CEVO meets have been going this season.

Me.. Been busy with work.. and my parents drive my civic now.. I rarely drive it anymore.. My only mode of transportation is company truck and my little old bike that I got this year to ride around on.. too poor for a new bike.

Think everyone is occupied with other things that are more important than meeting up and talking shizzle about cars and what not. Maybe when things slows down a bit.. perhaps there will be more meets or something.

As mentioned before pretty much everyone left went on to other things, there are a few veterans still kicking around such as Sojsboy, Speedstars, Asianpride and myself.

Honestly though I have been on this site since Aug of 01, I had a different user name at that time but I lost the password. It has always been a small group at our meets no more than 6 cars. Sometimes only 2 or 3 cars, it is not the size of the meet but the people, that makes all the difference.

We did do a few meets with Cevo two years ago, but that only lasted a season. Believe it or not we actually out numbered Cevo a few times during those meets.

But like I said people do move on, 780tuners do have regular Wed and Fri meets and Cevo still has the Fri meets I think. But I have been out of the scene for over a year now, last year was all track time for me hardly any meets, so I do not know what is really going on anymore.

I'm still around. I just generally hang with the guys from Cevo and DC5AB now. There are meets at UC on Fridays and Saturdays at 9pm still. Cevo meets at the Air Museum on Fridays at 9-9:30pm.

Reason no one was there last weekend was probably to do with DTP. I was actually showing there, and have a few here this year.

I'm still around too, but I'm usually with Club RSX or the DC5ab forums. I am fortunate that I was able to meet some of you at one of the last 7thGen meets (July 31, 2004).

Personally, I like hanging around and chilling and talking about cars and stuff, when the weathe permits of course. A lot of people in Lethbridge do this, but I find it strange that in more populated centers such as Calgary and Edmonton, where there are clearly much more cooler vehicles, no one wants to.

As MrWong said, some people move on, things aren't always the same every year, but ti would be nice to keep in touch. I still hang around here b/c 7thGen is still the place where I met the most people, from Canada and from the States. I've met most of the Alberta members, met many of the Washington people, and others in the Las Vegas and SoCal areas. It has been great, but things change. I don't even have my 7thGen anymore.

To me, it isn't about the number of cars or the type of cars that I meet with... it's the people I meet. And I can honestly say that it was great when I met you guys, and that if I am ever up in Cal or E-town again, that you would be open for a meet.
