Header & warranty.....
Hey guys, i've got a header on the way but i wasn't sure if there was an issues with installing it and voiding my warranty. I know in the states they got at least some sort of law to back them up, although i'm not sure if we do. I don't want to install it then screw up my warranty. Do you guys think it will be a problem.

Any aftermarket non OEM honda part installed on vehicles with a factory warranty has the potential to be denied any warranty claims...
So yeah check it out with the dealer you go to and have them put it in writting if they say that its fine...Please don't take their word for it have them sign it...
lets say your valve seals leak, head gasket blows etc etc they can say ah well the header did that...

I don't remember where I got this from, but I remember reading that if you mess with anything between the throttle body and the cat, you're going to void your warranty on the engine. For some reason I think that I read that in some Honda warranty literature, but since I can't remember, I can't vouch for the validity of my info. Best to do what _Viper_ said before you install the header.

once u put something on, the void your warranty for that specific area or any other areas affected by it, which would probably mean your whole engine. but that's the risk of aftermarket parts. so tough choice now, install it and put your money to use and void your warranty? or just try to sell it off and take a loss and keep your warranty.
Though putting a header on will probably void a good chunk of your engine warranty, I really don't think that it ought to, I mean, a header makes v.little difference to how the entire engine itself operates and on our Civics, doesn't necessarily give it so much HP that the whole thing runs outside of spec. Push comes to shove you could always swap the OEM header back on when you took it into the shop.
Looking at the big picture though, theres not really any point in getting a header for our Civics anyways if you examine the costs. Save your cash, go FI or something..
