I'd have to agree, meting somewhere a little further South and then making a group trip. We should each get CB's or something so we can chat back & forth, unless that's too geeky ..
And we don't have to all meet in the same place, I mean I could meet up with people in Lethbridge, or wherever, and then we can casually go North & meet up with more people as we go. That would be kinda cool too, so there's several possibilities
And I have no idea how to get around Calgary, I was there once when I was 6 or 7 I think, when the Winter Olympics were there. But yeah, a hockey game would be sweet ...

I'm in College
Hey there's a game March 12th - Canucks @ Oilers
(I'm originally from Vancouver)
It'd be sweet to go to that game if there's any tickets left ...
I think I have a CB somewhere, but it only has like a 10' range or something, it sucks so much *** - but I could probably drop a few bucks and get a better one, something that mounts under the seat and has a better range ...

Holy crap, I was looking at going to a game in Vancouver (I was gonna drive up in the next few weeks), but they're like all sold out. I can get a ticket to the game in Edmonton in the Gold Section, 102, Row 1, Seat 9 - for like $150, that's so awesome
Does anyone else already have tickets, or want to go to this game (March 12th, Edmonton vs Vanouver)

Yeah, ideally if we could keep it inexpensive that'd be awesome - being a broke college kid and all
In any case, it looks like the plan right now is to meet in Calgary, and maybe travel to Edmonton (maybe not). Anyone South of Calgary who wants to meet up ahead of time and travel together would be cool also.
Now, any thoughts what we could do?
Day at the races, hockey game, bar brawl, check out a movie ... etc.

if you guys want to race, we can check out the schedule at bud park to see when power 92 street legals start. Just like at anyother track they require a dot approvel and snell 2000 approved helment, and you car has to pass tech.

Yeah, I have only a little desire to take mine to the track, I already know how fast it's not.
But I'm open for anything - as long as it gets me out of the states for a few days, I'm all for it. I have no problem hanging out at the track and watching - and if I'm there I'll probably give it a shot as well
So pretty much I'll let you guys decide what you want to do - I'll just be along for the ride ...
(Not to mention the Canadian Beer, the great exchange rate, the thrill of perhaps going to see a hockey game, the loose women, the ...)

I was kind of kidding about the hat, I have a couple friends there I could stay with though, so it wouldn't be bad - but it is in the middle of BFE so it's not exactly the best place to meet ...
(Unless of course there's an interest?)
As it stands right now, it looks like the common preference is Calgary
