Opinions ???!!!
So the 2003 season is pretty much at a close, we can probally squeeze in one or two more meets maybe 3 or 4 if we are lucky. So I want ask all of you what are your opinions of this past season ?
My personal opinions are as follows: Our partnership with Cevo is great, not only did we get recognition but we have met some great people as well. We all pulled awsome numbers at meets our cars went from 5 - 8 to almost 15 which is really good. Thanks to Jae for recruiting all the new people. Next year I hope to see more of us at track events, Auto X, SCC or import shows.
Jae, Dennis, Phil, Lawrence, Anthony, Keith, and anyone else I missed as well as the new recruits ? Please post your opinions as to what can make the 2004 season better. I will be talking to Nathan probally on Wed nite @ the wings meet and see what we can work out there, anyone else who want to join us is more than welcome, phil I know you do.

Rep Power: 0 Originally a sceptic of the cevo partnership, I am now convinced that it was a great idea and continues to be. The Cevo members brought their various interests and opinions to the table and welcomed, not alienated, we 7th Gen members. I also totally respect the fact that the general Cevo populace seems to be very knowledgable about their cars. I look forward to enjoying next season in the good company of both my 7th Gen brothers as well as our Cevo cousins.
I hope the weather brings us meets all through till next summer...
Wednesday wings are on! So far Renny and I are in for wings at Globe - I'll be there around 10:30 - 11pm till whenever.

Rep Power: 0 Well, I do have my own opinions. I am very impressed at how many 7thgen owners are there! However, the 8th generation of the civic is a yr or so away. Where does that leave you guys/gals? Eventually, you might have to merge with Cevo but I would love to see you guys keep the 7thgen civics to yourself.

Rep Power: 0 i like the pho meet, we can join cevo with in summer shows. Recruiting days, jae is the master @ that. I can help with the design of brochures and cards if you guys want. Halo tourny ? I never played halo, I do not have a xbox.

Rep Power: 0 A merge with Cevo is good, becasue it will give us twice as much support and it will allow us to show case our cars along with them at the import shows, Jae and Denis have already taken the first steps in doing that @ sport compact challenge.

Rep Power: 0 sure, we can be with cevo, but being with them, does that mean that we include them in everything? cause i like our 7thgen crew right now, along with the former memebers like phil/kit.

Rep Power: 0 Will's got a point. I enjoy the 7th Gen group now too, and as long as no one at Cevo gets sore about us 7th Gens going out sometimes without them. How's this: They are welcome at our meets, and we are welcome at theirs. We can still meet and do our things, but they should be welcome too. Like any good group of friends / family, as long as everyone knows that they are welcome, then all is good. Let's be with Cevo, but let's do some things with them, and some things just 7th Gen. I would expect that they would do the same.
Besides, it does appear that there are two distinct social groups appearing anyways.

You have to understand Renny/Keith that we all met on THIS site, not Cevo. Its cool to hang with Cevo, and do a few things with them, but it doesn't mean that everything is Cevo. The Media day in my opinion should have been just 7thgeners. I'm sure Cevo will understand that you guys are a separate entity. Do you want to know why I'm hesitant in coming to meets now? Because I feel that we(when I was still a 7thgener) began to lose our identity. It may not seem apparent now, but as you let this progress it will happen. When is the last time we had a 7thgen only meet? Are we too weak to get together on our own? Bigger numbers don't nessecarily(sp) mean better meets! Hell, we had awesome meets with just 3 guys! Why go into SCC with CEVO? Why can't the 7thgeners have there own place? I guess my view might be invaild due to the fact that I do not have my 'vic no more. I do miss her, and I regret the change.
Realize that the 7thgen boys/girls are stronger than you think. You have great recruiters and endless resources. If there is a merger with Cevo, just make sure the 7thgeners never lose face and become part of the blob. I still am proud to have met my good friends like Renny, Keith, Laurence, Phil, Jae, Dennis, Brady, Will, Bong, and Anthony. But I don't want to see you guys lose THIS site. We own Canada West. So what if the 8thgen comes out? The 7thgen is the best gen, and you guys have to rep it with all your power.
And I don't mean this to diss anyone, esp. Renny/Keith, just my 2cents. Sorry boys....

Rep Power: 0 I have not decided anything, everything that was/ is being discussed are ideas and thoughts. All we need are opinions that is all, nothing more nothing less, nothing is ever set in stone.
For all we know nothing will change, perhaps everyone likes the way things are running right now, or there might be huge changes who knows. Besides this thread gives everyone a good chance to air their thoughts/frustration and ideas.
I figured it might be easier for everyone to express their ideas when everyone is together.

Rep Power: 0 i totally agree with kit, like i like hanging out with cevo once in a while, like i like the saturday meets, but i don't like them as much as when we had our bbq's and our bp's meet on friday with the 7th gen guy's. we met on this site, and this is where i will stay, i don't think we should merge, no offence to anyone, cevo is a good organization and they are well respected and well represented, but we're also very well represented, if everyone comes out that is. haha. even though kit's new car is so fast... i regret him trading in his car, he won't make it to as many meets as before, DAMN U KIT!!!!!!!!!!! but ya, it's not my decision, just my opinion, we should have a meet to discuss this. i'd like to hear everyone's opinion.

Rep Power: 282 Being a newbie, I have to say that we need an Identity. I want to sport a 7th Gen Decal on my ride and I want to be apart of this scene for a long time. I think a meeting would be a great idea so that we can all discuss this in person and come to a general conclusion as to the future of this club. I haven't been here for that long but I agree that we should keep an affliation with Cevo BUT also remain a seperate Identity from them. United meets between the civic, integra, prelude etc factions is a must. There is strength in numbers and we are all in this for the same reasons. there is no need to alienate ourselves from everyone. Instead of relying on Cevo all the time and them setting the trend for all of us, we should grow in numbers and start showcasing ourselves with the thought of always respecting our friends and including them in some way. Maybe I am beginning to babble.......
Another note, what exactly is the goal of this club? What does it stand for and want to accomplish? I think these need to be answered and then we can move forward. Any thoughts or am I talkin' through my ***?
