Hello all, I just talked to Columbus Recreation and these are the options we have.

1) We can reserve Blacklick Park (in Reynoldsburg) on Saturday, June 7, 2003 for a half day... cost $50.
-2 picnic tables
-accomodates approximately 25 to 30 people

2) Take our chances with finding a park space with no reserve or guarantees... cost $0


There was limited availibility on that date...

Please post what you think 1 or 2; and offer suggestions for the meet. Will you be willing to contribute to the park reserve? Because the money is due 3 days after the reservation is made... we need to act quickly, so please respond ASAP.

Why don't we get a confirmed attendance count and then divide the $50 amongst those who attend? Someone might have to front the $50 and then just collect from everyone at the meet. Unless, it's wise to take our chances, might wanna go with option #1. But if you say you're going, better go. Cuz' then someone will get stiffed the money if no one shows, not to mention, feel like a complete loser. So who's going???

I believe most parks close before dusk... so I figure we would have to park starting at about noon or so. I will check back tomorrow....

Where is everybody else at? I want to hear from peeps, before we reserve the park.... I'm not throwing away $50 if only a handful of peeps are gonna show up. If its less than 10 of us, we don't need to reserve the park, we can just meet up and hang out... Plan B.

Hey Adam, it doesn't matter what kind of car you're driving, we'd be happy to have you at the meet. But don't bring anything faster/better than our cars, because I am easily influenced and my be forced to upgrade

So far... we have a little over a week to go. 7.5 people have said that they will be there. I don't know if its worth putting up the $50. With less than 10 people, we can find a meeting place to hang and talk cars, then caravan to a food spot. This is my suggestion... if you disagree, feel free to say so.

why is dj always on top of the ball. only 7.5 poeple? cmon guys i was hoping at least 15.28 people would be there. if we only have at most 10, then we should just meet somewhere, get some food and cruise a bit. no point in spottin 5 bucks a person just to have a place to meet.

LOL 15.28...that's great! Um, yeah, so sounds good with just the meet & roll idea. I'm just hoping my car gets in and out of the shop before the meet, cuz' my insurance repz are taking their slow-*** time getting an adjuster out to look at my ever-embarassing hail damage. Where we gonna go? Name the spot.

Secluded eh? What exactly were you planning last time eh? (little worried....) regarding space there are usually plenty of places in the public parks in Columbus (I know of one that's just outside of Columbus on 23, although the name eludes me at the moment) But it never seemed to be busy to me and they have picnic tables and such.... and it's moderately close to Polaris and Crosswoods by 23 and 270...... just figured I'd throw that out as an option. Best part is it's free, and free is always good

come on guys, lets use my suggestion. meet up somewhere like campus, and roll to Easton, get some grub, play some gameworks. no one ever parks on the top of the garage during afternoons, and if we time it right, the lot will fill up with our cars there

Thats actually not a bad suggestion. I would prefer if we met somewhere besides campus though. Maybe a central location, so that everyone could find it easy and be able to park without any trouble. We could meet at Northland Mall (abandoned) and then caravan to Easton... just a thought.

Sh*t, F@ck, Damn, ****, Fart, etc... I knew this was gonna happen!! Sorry guys but I need to back out of the meet. SKS can't get my car in to fix the hail damage until Friday the 6th and they're gonna need it about a week. So unless you want me to roll up in some freakin' Chevy Mailbu rental, I'm gonna have to bow out and meet up with you guys some other time. I'm glad we didn't throw $ down, but I was hoping to avoid this dilemma. Really anxious 2 get 2 gether with you guys and put the facez and ridez behind all the witty forum banter, but it lookz like I gotz no choice. Crap, and I was gonna install that SRI too. Man, what a shi$$y day...
