About a month ago, some of us 7th gens 'round the Columbus area gave mad props to SKS Motorsports on their effectiveness and overall service on vehicles we've taken there. They specialize in everything from body kits to spring/shock installs. Well, in case anyone is new to the scene, the area, or the forum, I would like to take this moment to reveal yet another example of their willingness to make all their customers 100% satisfied with their work. In April, I had a set of springs installed at SKS and then took it for an alignment before I got a rear camber kit. My fault...didn't know at the time. The guy who did my alignment gave me some story about having to replace my upper strut mounts and bearings cuz' it was throwing my alignment all off. It sounded REAL shady, but my alignment was all thrown off after that for some reason, so I almost believed him. So, I called SKS to get a second opinion and they said they just recently got the upper strut mounts and bearings off a '02 (I have an '01) and that they would be willing to see if that did in fact cause the problem. So I took it in there this morning and they spent 6 hours disassembling and reassembling the entire front alignment to find the problem. The '02 mounts and bearings didn't fit, but they cleaned up and tightened every part of the front suspension for me. They also installed my rear camber kit for me and now the alignment is back to normal. And cleaning the bearings and mounts form dirt and crap gave me a much better ride than before, believe it or not. So I ask the dude how much I owed and he only charged me $55 for the rear camber install. They worked on my car for 6 hours and didn't charge me a thing for the suspension!!! Now, that's service. They also gave me an estimate for some major hail damage I received last November after I had gotten another estimate at some other place. Not only was the SKS estimate $30 less than the other estimate, but SKS is going to replace my hood and sand down and repaint every single dented piece of my body so that it looks brand new. The other place was going to merely pound out the dents, leaving any other scrathes or marks on the car alone since they didn't occur at the time of the storm. They called it PDR (paintless dent removal) and most insurance companies now prefer this because it's supposedly less than repainting. BUT, since SKS has their own paint mixing facilities onsite, they are gonna repaint everything for me and it will cost even less than the PDR at the other place. So all those scrathes from rocks or your average idiots that don't respect other people's rides, will be gone too. If you need anything done, take it there and they will make sure you are 100% satisfied. Just wanted to let you guys know that I am very pleased with their service and I am definitely going through them for every mod I ever plan to do to my car. Unless, I can DIY, of course.

I'll be there. Just keep me posted on the where and what to bring. Hopefully, I'll have the dents removed by then and I just bought an Injen SRI so if anyone there is handy with that sort of install, I could use your help. I'll keep looking around for DIYs tho. Nice score on that carbon fiber hood, by the way Deejai. Jealous!!

Reytito: Yeah, I was all about going with the PDR at first but then SKS said they'd repaint everything and replace my hood, so they left me with a no-brainer. I had major damage though. 30-40 dents!!

Deejai: That would be great. Everyone keeps telling me that it's just like the CAI install, but that's not helping me since I never installed a CAI. And the DIY here looked somewhat involved. Just let me know what kinda tools I should have with me. Don't wanna put anybody out.
Reytito: I forgot to mention, SKS should be fine for checking the rear camber but they can't do an alignment. I'm getting mine today at a place they referred me to downtown called Beeline Alignment. They specialize in lowered cars and whatnot. I'm sure SKS will hook you up with the phone number. After what happened the last time I went to a regular alignment shop, I'm not taking my chances with some place unfamiliar with aftermarket mods. Blah!

Thanks Rey. If ur at the meet on 6/7, you can assist Deejai and I with the install. I hope it doesn't take too long cuz' I want everyone to relax and have fun, not bustin' over some install that I can't figure out 4 myself. What tools will I need?
