so i was coming home from work tonight around 9:30 pm on a 4 lane road with no one on it at all and it was pretty wet, so i decided to have some fun. pulled a couple 180's with the e-brake and had some good powerslides. best was a 180 i had when i pulled the e-brake turned the other direction and just kept on going like it was nothing. did a couple like that also in 90 degree turns.
ah good times
and soon the "snow drifting" will begin once we get some snow

yup. just be careful and make sure no cars are on the road. it takes you into a complete semi-uncontrolled spin and you have to know what to do to control it.
for example, when it starts spinning, let go of the gas and start up quick on it once you straighten out and if you have a 5-speed, do not downshift while spinning or shift into neutral b/c if you do when you go back in gear or shift it will spin the wheels more and be worse.
just gotta practice somewhere safe first, then have fun with it.
the winter is best.i used to do complete powerslide "drifts" into the school parking lot and into my spot when there was snow on the ground

i think it makes you a better driver too cause if you ever do get in a situation unintentionally where you loose control, you will then know what to do

i dont think they can get you on anything illegal if you do a 90 degree powerslide for a turn though. can just say you lost control if anything happens.

^^^i like how you are refering to simple turns by their angle/degrees
...i never really thought of a turn like that...cops are *******s though and they should be more worried about real crime than people having fun on the roads

it works real good if you're car has a heavy rear end...i have a few hundred pounds of amps, subs, batteries, full-size spare, false floor, etc., and it doesn't take much to get that a$$ end around...i was in FL during Hurricanes Bonnie, Charlie, Frances, and Ivan, so just about every day there was water on the road, so i got to practice the technique quite a bit...i talked my mom into taking a ride with me around some dirt roads near our house after i installed my intake, and she about $hit when i hit the 90 degree turn into the driveway sliding sideways at about 25 MPH...and i have an auto, so i could punch it to go straight when i dropped the brake w/o worrying about shifting...much fun...she screamed alot, but she apparently liked the thrill 'cause the next day i had her doing donuts in her Mustang in the front yard...good times bonding with the 'rents...

you pull it up while holding the botton. never lock it in place. and as you pull it up, you make the turn, and as soon as you have completed your 90 or 180 degre turn, put it down and give it gas to go. the key is to not pull it up toofast or slow. cause if you do it too fast you will just slow down too much and not turn, if you do it too slow it wont be as fast or as fun. the best thing to do is to just get the feel for it and practice alot.
it takes practice. last winter this dude and iset up some cones in this snow covered parking lot and drifted all around them. good times.

wait til we get some snow down, go in a big empty lot, get up to around 15mph and grab the brake while going into a turn. it ain't hard
i figured it out. it's fun, but don't go overboard with it.
traffic tickets are one of the few things where criminal intent doesn't matter. even if you have a great reason to do so, you technically should still be found just as guilty as someone who broke the law delibrately. there is no defense for traffic violations except for arguing that you didn't break the law. it doesn't matter if you were rushing your dying friend to the hospital, you're guilty (extreme). so unless you feel like having this explained by a judge, don't tell them WHY you were speeding. just deny it happened or pay the fine.
