i can't wait until july...
...to show my car off
. took some pics of it for all to see. i should have all my audio in by then (alpine type r components in the front, kappas in the back, one 10" type r), i hope to have power steering by then, and i also plan on putting the stock airbox on very shortly. the SRI hits the hood (note the black spot midway up the pipe) and makes a horrible sound. one screw seems to be stripped so i can't tighten the thing down anymore. plus, anyone who reads on clubrsx sees that dynos of stock compared to the AEM SRI are virtually identical. i'd like to either wrap the airbox, make some sort of heatshield, or both.
no exterior mods for now, i like the stock rsx rims
maybe next summer.
opinions welcomed about the drop on the car. i plan on raising the car some (thanks in advance matt!) because the drop is so uneven, and too low in the back. i thought the heavier engine would lower the front more, but the front is 2 fingers and the back is none (about .1in from rubbing when car is parked). it's on neuspeeds, but i don't know if they are sport or race.

after you sold the purple car, how much more did this cost you in addition to what you sold that one for? you got an awesome deal on this car.
you need to go to honda now and tell them you want an oil change and see what they do when they pop the hood
we should do this after we swap out your springs

i still have the purple car, probably gonna sell it to my parents, making about 2k over what i still owe on it. my payment was $235. both my parents drive 10 year old vehicles, i think it's time for an upgrade for them
i paid 2k on this car and got a loan for the rest. my payment now is $234. plus i paid a grand in taxes when i got the title. so really i got the car for 1k
screw taking it to honda, i want to go to jiffy lube or some ****. scare the hell outta them lol. i don't actually want them touching it though...
this car was a good deal. i can tell it was loved, he repainted the whole thing when the front pieces were put on so they would match completely. engine is from a 2003 rsx wrecked in rear, had 3500 miles on it when swapped. i still haven't had anyone harrass me in it, only one truck that tried to run me off the road, and that was more of me racing to get the f out of there. and then one quick trip on the highway to impress the old lady (she was quiet the whole time, i think she was scared...)

are your springs yellow? if so its neuspeed race, thats what i have. although, you might be on rsx suspension, i dont know. also, if they are neuspeed, you should be able to read on the springs what kind they are, but its gonna be upside down.
i recommend you start talkin to Hawk too since he has the k20 swap also and will be able to answer alot of the questions you may have.

i've talked to hawk some. they are red, i am pretty sure they are sports. he said he had the race springs if i wanted them, and the rear is so low i thought they might be race.
i really should find out what type of springs i should buy. i am about 99% sure i need civic springs though. i like the look, but function is rough...
i need some tips from briang too about this power steering deal, hawk forgets about that stuff. got my stock airbox today though, and audio

If you are getting rid of the SRI get an Icebox. It is alot better than OEM and looks and fits like OEM. You will make more power than a SRI but not as much as a CAI. As for the drop, does the car have RSX suspension on it all the way around? Including the struts? If it does in the front, but only a rear disc break conversion on the back, that would explain why it sits lower in the back. If you want a good drop spring than look at getting Tein Tech springs. 1.5 drop. Or just get a Full coilover setup.
Oh and by the way...........your going down at the meet.

i think i'm gonna get the tein s-tech springs, yeah. i got the stock airbox in now, fit OK but had to relocate coolant resevoir w/ zip ties
it has koni's all around, but i'm pretty sure that the car is still civic struts and all. i'm thinking i will move the perch up a notch in the back, with the new springs the problems should be gone.
i haven't been practicing my driving much... launches are all new to me. all i do is get the car up to 120 and smile

maybe my tach just isn't accurate up that high, but i swear it goes up to like 8100-8200 rpms. i thought fuel cut off at 7900 rpms?

ROFL!! Not quite.
CAI, race header, exhaust, Hondata will get you about 208whp. Add ITR cams, ITR IM, Hondata IMG, and Hondata ITR reflash and your at 215whp.
Or just do what I'm more than likely going to do.
CAI, JRRH, Exhaust, JRSC at 7ps and make about 270whp. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

If I have time before the meet I'll get my car dynoed.
