i went to this place in downtown cleveland and all i can say is, wow!
they build custom turbos, do swaps, and all other kinds of engine work you can imagine. they deal with tein, greddy, hks, and all other major name brand performance and suspension parts.
well, anyways i went down there with my friend just to take a look around the shop and i was amazed at the cars they had there. there was a red 99 si with gold volk rims with a chrome lip a body kit CF hood tein suspension and to top it off a turbo pushing out 380 whp, there were 2 300zx's twin turbo'd with one puttin out close to 550 whp and the other more around the 400 mark, there were about 3 or 4 240sx's all with sr20's and upgraded turbos and one of them a 97 240sx had all chromed engine piping and everuthing as was setup with tein suspension and put out 500 hp, and there there were a few CRXs Civics ad Accords that were all turbo'd or in the process or and getting worked on.
all in all, i thought this was an amazing place that did great work and they can do custom port and polish and anything you can think of. i think this place has actually inspired my to change my car plans for this summer. i am not gonna get the bigger rims, the seats, or paint the CF hood sides, im gonna save up for a turbo now. the guy said he can get me around 200 whp for $2,500-3,500 depending on the work he has to do and that is my goal now for this summer.
i just thought i would share the info about this place with you guys just to give you an FYI on how bad *** it was.

they ahve a webpage but it just says the address and phone number. they stock a decent amount of turbos, BOVs, intercoolers, and all that good stuff, but they are not a store. it is just a garage mainly for working on cars.
webpage: http://slickmotorsports.com/
here are some pics of the cars they have worked on:

240sx with sr20 turbo'd

2 turbo'd si's

lol ya, now it is time to work my *** off and not spend a dime untill i get the turbo. i think im gonna have to buy all the parts individually as soon as i get the cash for them too, because with $3500 in my bank i would be too tempted to buy alot of other stuff

why is that bad? i saw all the cars in there and they all looked amazingly good. they have a room with some parts in it like BOV's, a couple turbos and intercoolers, some suspension, and nitrous bottles and such, but they order most of the parts to their custom request cause they work on so many different cars that it would be a waste to have too many car specific parts in stock.

if they are not a store, and some dude is just using this place as his garage to work on cars, is it a legit business, do they pay taxes, do they collect sales tax and if so are they paying to the correct authorities

i dont know what LLC or DBA is, but it is a guy who started the shop himself then it grew bigger and he has the shop downtown now. i have been researchin it on www.ohiohondas.com and they havent given it anything but good reviews. no one on there has any complaints about the shop. and this is all coming from people who have been turbo'd and such by them.

DBA=doing business as....slick motorsports/basz racing/whatever else
reason i ask is, is this some guy that just does work, or is this a business thatis legit

so do they sound like a good company to you now? cause this is the place i plan on gettin my turbo done at
Most definitely check it out to see if it is a legit bus. Cause you could have your turbo done one week then maybe the next week, he decides he doen't want to work on cars anymore.. Then what are you going to do? Just a thought! But you never know.
