anyone know any good tint shops near akron/canton thats pretty cheap and fast? I'm thinking of doing 50% tint. I want it light to the point that people can still see me since my car is white, the contrast of a dark tint would look kind of cheezy, but still protects the inside of the car during summer months.. also, if you guys have pictures of your tints, please post with percentages. Thanks!!

I had my tint done at Century 2000 in Akron. I think that they do a great job. I have 20% on my car, but sorry don't have any pictures yet. I would recommend them, My brother had his tint done there on his truck, plus they installed all of our Satellite radios. Any questions go ahead and give them a call.

thats pretty cheap. i might have to go there when i get my tint done. you never had any problems with the cops for having the 20% tint cause i hear the most you can usually get away with is around 35% or so, but that is way too light for me.

20% is illegal in Ohio. 35% is the darkest you can go and still be legal. Around town I have not had any problems, I have only been pulled over once for tint and that was in Macedonia. But like in Ravenna where I work and even state highway troppers, I can sit next to them at a light, and I have not had any problems, but it all depends.

Sorry, My bad! Only the front windshield and front door windows can not be darker then 50%, the rest can be as dark as you wish!

ya im pretty sure it is 50% on all windows. 35% is basically the limit to what you can basically get away with without being troubled by the cops though i think.

stock the window is probably about 75%, put on 50% tint and you are around 35% already. i agree it's not dark, but in some areas the cops do care.

If you go to Horizon (sp?) audio, theydo it there. I know it is more expensive, by they test your windows and give you a slip saying you have had your windows test ed and that they are indeed legal. They'll even tell you what is legal in your area. Worth the extra $$$ in my opinion

Got mine at Ziebart for 130, i got 35% too. Anything darker then 50% is illegal BTW. It all depends on how friendly the police are in your area.

misunderstood by many...., the lower the percentage, the darker the tint. Percentages are calculated by how what percentage of light passes the tint. Thanks for the suggestion though.

haha i think u misunderstood me, i was saying that even though anything darker then 50 is illegal i still got the DARKER 35% and haven't been bothered by cops yet even when i got pulled over for exhaust
