for the people in cincinnati i found a spot out in east gate, that cators to honda civics, and cars like ours.... it's called pro. the address is: audio 700 eastgate, station (313)753-4599..anyway as on another thread they sometimes give u some not so good parts i guess.. i wanted to get these coil overs made by ractive.. but other people mention that thoes suck.. but i think that's all they sell becasue i got my exhaust from there, and it's by the same company... and so far its' pretty good. but i got to say that the parts there are really cheap.. the coil over kits was about 150.00 and the lowering springs aobut 70-130 depending on which ones.... but in other ways there other parts were a lil pricy 216.00 for a cold air intake vs 190.00 for a place called ram charges back at home... but if there suspension is any good (maybe i'll take my chances) then i'm going to get it from there...

I know the owner Frank. He does have some good prices and some bad ones. He does great work and is the best window tinter in Cincy. And he can get other coilovers for you. Ask him about Gound Control coilovers. Frank did a lot of work on my old 01 EX coupe.

No I'm telling you that they are not that good. Are you using your stock struts? Cause no matter what sleeve coilover you get the ride will be terrible. How far of a drop do you want? If you want a big drop then get a set of Neuspeed Race springs. Oh and there are Vendors on here that will get you better prices on parts that Pro Audio will. I'm not knocking Frank's shop, but I like to save money.
and one last question.. is there any type of performace shock/strut out there out than thoes kanoi yellows??? i want something different... cause maybe get the sleeved coil overs now, then change shocks and sturs later.

Konis the only struts out right now. Tockio struts are suppose to come out in Feb, but don't know if that true. Honestly the two best sleeved coilovers for our rides are Ground Control and Skunk2. But you can get Full coilovers for a good price. Thats what I'm going to buy for my 03. Search for Hayme Full Coilovers. They are a great product and a good price.

Skunk2 have stiff ratings and they will give a really hard ride on your stock struts. Plus if you get Skunk2 and later decide to get new struts, you can not get Konis. Cause Skunk2 coilovers are not designed to work with Konis. I think that the Hayme Full coilovers are $650 shipped? I'll have to look it up.

hard ride meaning that i'll feel every single bump in the road??? casue if that's the case, i'll trade that off, so that i can have my car lowered, as well as handle 100% better... i'm assuming that they do handle a lot better than stock right...
dammit... i guess there is just no way around paying more.. i guess i'll pay a lil more..... so are true coilovers: is the ride still going to be hard, or is it going to ride smooth???? and like i said, how hard is the ride with sleeved coil overs/??

Ok.
Sleeve coilovers with stocks struts will give you a bouncy and harsh ride. You will feel every little bump in the road.
Sleeve coilovers with Koni struts ride great. I had this setup on my last coupe. The ride is smooth, but not as smooth as stock.
Full coilovers I've heard have a good ride to them. I have not had full coilovers yet. But I will get a set soon. Like I said before, what kind of a drop do you want? What do you want to get coilovers? Have you thought about getting springs? I had a set of Neuspeed Rac Springs on my old SI and the ride was good. A little stiffer than stock, but not much. And the drop was 2.5 settled. Plus you can get the springs new from ShowstoppersUsa.com

yeah i had springs on my old car it was an 97 grand am... i had lowered springs by sprint springs... there were blue.. anyway i changed everything new shocks, struts.. everything matched... i dont' want lowring springs now.. i wanna try something new.. i truely wanted air struts so i can play with the switches... but because i drive sooo fast, i heard that these isn't the best for me.. i thougth i wanted sleeved coils i mean feeling every bump in the road is no biggie to me, (i'm from detroit) as long as it handles better than it's all good....

I thought you just said you didn't care about the harsh ride? With a set of stiff springs, your car will handle better than having sleeve coilovers. Because the sleeve coilovers will give you a bouncy ride. Do you want a big drop? The neuspeed race springs are very stiff springs. The ride is a little rougher than stock, but it will not bouncy you all over the road.
ok thanks for the info... where can i get a good set of thoes coils???? can i get some from your boy at that shop???? what does he cary as far as coils down there???? not thoes ractive coils?? lol anyway i don't want it to drop too hard, casue i don't want my custom 2 inch pipeing on the bottome of the car to scrape.... and casue i live in detroit, i don't want my car to bottom out.. thats' how i lost my other car, lowered it and hit a big pothole, and cut a hole in the oil pan, casuing the oil to fall out the engine....
also will these coils be good with the stock shocks/struts???

Which ones are you talking about? The Skunk2s? They will give you a harsh ride with your stock struts. As for where to get them, chack with some of the vendors on this site. They have good deals on anything you could want.

Good ride=soft spring
Good handling=stiffer spring
And what kind of a drop do you want? 1 inch? 2 inch?
Even with stiff springs the ride is not that bad. Just avoid potholes and you will be just fine.

Which ones are they? LOL you went from sleeve coilovers to springs to full coilovers back to sleeve coilovers and now you bought springs. LOL Just thought it was funny.
naw i just got thoes 2 inch drop springs.. i'll put them on in the spring time after the snow melts and i get my rims so that the car doesn't get stuck in the snow. i just hope that my factory shocks/struts can hold up.. cause i'm not buying thoes kanoi yellows.. they cost way to much.
