Okay just some updates, I haven't gone down there yet. I just got back from a 3 day vacation heh, but I called up Volant again to see what was going on, and why I hadn't gotten a call from them. They told me they want to make sure what day is good with the owner before I go down there because before its happened that the owner isn't there so the trip would be a waste. I'm again waiting on a call from them, but I'll let you guys know as soon as there is a date for me to go.
just some updates...they want me to go there wednesday to do some testing...they MIGHT be needing 1 more car..is there anyone else that might be interested send me a PM its in the cali area around Rancho cucamonga so let me know but i'll be going der wednesday

just got bak from volant....heres the deal....they have something that will work they want me to go back again friday from 9 to 5, basically an 8 hour day, to make some more brackets or whatever. Also if your cars stick they said with this intake they have to relocate your clutch cable which I unno if I want to do. If they mess with my clutch cable won't that mess up my warrenty in some way?
Btw they wouldn't even allow me to see what they were doing to my car. The manager is cool he took me back there to see whats going on, but then the owner came back there and right in front of us he's talking to the general manager saying what are these guys doing here. It's like okay chill you can tell us would you please go back in the front or something but you don't talk like that with an attitude when I'm trying to help you guys. Let's hope there intakes are REALLY good because so far I give there service two thumbs down.

when i went there they haven't been doing anything lol. They just wanted to see if they already had something that would fit my car. Seems kind of gay to have to move your clutch cable for a DAM INTAKE thats the only thing that makes it all gay

the AEM CAI relocates the clutch cable bracket too.. its not a big deal as long as they dont bend it and do a crappy job on relocating it.
the K&N CAI relocates the brackets too. or swaps it out for a different one so there will be more room.
there's no space for a tubing/pipping downwards unless you clear that area and relocate the cable.
and they probably dont want you around because they dont want their process being duplicated.. although its nothing original but yeah. no need for an attitude i guess.
and i know ure helping them but its not like they can't find another willing person too.
there's also some minor difference between the bracket in 01 and 02+ civics. at least thats what I got from K&N anyway.. like honda moved the cable line to a different point or something. hopefully volant takes this into consideration.

it doesn't matter if there are other willing people, when you originally offer someone your help and they want your help then they should at least treat you with some respect. Also what process is going to be duplicated? If you get the intake you can duplicated it then as well so what's the difference if I see it or not? There is nothing to duplicate from what I could see. It's my car and I should have a right to see what they are doing to it. For all I know it doesn't take 2 hours to install an intake, they could be swapping other things that I don't know about or something. I doubt that happened but it's a possibility when you can't see your car and it takes 2 hours to notice that an intake won't fit or needs some extra stuff to work. One more thing I forgot, from what I understood it's not the bracket they want to relocate its the COMPLETE clutch cable they want to relocate, but I'll ask to double check if that is what they want to do, or if it is only the bracket.
