Engine needed d16y7 or d16y8
I recently bought an inexpensive 97 civic LX, 138,000 miles, automatic transmission with an almost "dying" d16y7 engine.
Anyone has a reliable d16y7 or d16y8?
not looking for vtec power, , this my daily driver = just good miles per gallon
(i know i can use y7 intake manifold on y8 head or just not plug vtec ) and can still use y7 ECu and wiring harness. Much easier and simple swap.
I live in long island , ny.
Thanks

Re: Engine needed d16y7 or d16y8
I did check. Except a few, most were not upfront about miles on the engine. Was trying my luck w any members doing swap for more powerful instead of stock ones like the ones I need.
If nothing happens, I will just follow car-part.com and call to verify the miles or health?) w some in LI or NJ
