Want 7th Gen. With Blown Engine
Hey, I'm looking for a 7th generation Civic with a blown engine, blown tranny, trashed clutch (one of these, or all three). The worse the better.
The only thing I ask is that it be a manual transmission and the frame be in decent shape...if it was in an accident that will was deemed totaled that will not do or if it's got bad rust.
I prefer black, but color really doesn't matter. If the paint is black and in good shape, I would be willing to pay more. Seats can be ripped out, panels dented, it does not matter.
Basically, I'm engine, tranny, and clutch swapping, replacing the seats and interior, etc. etc. etc. so instead of buy brand new I basically want a frame to build up from.
The price I am willing to pay will depend on the condition the frame is in. Suspension, rims, etc. do not matter either. I will pay more if there is more there, but not that much more seeing as how I don't need it. I am in the NJ area but I have a trailer and will drive xxx miles for a good deal. Any east coast is definetely close enough.
I am not interested in body kits/performance parts. If you have any of them I will still consider the car, but I will not pay more for them. Even if you don't own the car but you know a local junkyard that fits this description, I will give a small amount ($200 maybe) for the information if I do end up buying the car.
PS...although I am not in need of the engine, if you have a stock 7th gen or whatever, you may give me the entire car and I will take car of disposing the pieces that I do not need. I am not asking you to strip the car.
Ballpark price: $1000-2000 depending on condition of car (rust especially)

forgot my info:
PM here
AIM or AOL cjr2003firefly@aol.com
by snailmail: 19 Jurgelsky Road Monroe Township NJ 08831 (for dinosaurs)
daytime phone (609) 558-1649
remember if it's a junkyard or a local shop and you provide the information, I will give you a small cut if I do end up buying the car. I do not have the resources to check every single junkyard, but you could make an easy one or two hundred bucks by calling a dozen numbers in your phone book.
I wish someone would make me that offer, lol. Pay for my next mod in 10 minutes
