nitrus + turbo -> can i have them both?
nitrus + turbo -> can i have them both?
howdy everybody.
i wanted to see if its ok to have a turbo as well as running NOS at the same time. im wondering because both exert extra preasure on the engine (feel free to correct me if i am wrong)...so yeah.
if anyone knows some about this and would help me out i would appriciate it. THANKS

thanks for the reply, is there a way u can get the timing of the juice right so u wont over pressure the block or is it just kinda a number to go by inorder to be safe once the preasure from the turbo comes in?,
thanks
thanks

I think that you can buy an Apexi controller and have your n20 kick in a certain rpm so that would help you out. That way you can get it to kick in low to help the turbo spools.

I will tell you how it works within the next few weeks.
I am running a nice little setup, but i am still designing the system. It will (hopefully) be installed within the next few weeks.

that just cools off the intercooler, doesnt inject it into the engine. I am going to be using one of those too tho. I may use that CryO2 systems instead of the NX one, but i havent decided yet.
Turbo performance manifold, Turbo performance down pipe, T3 turbo, Turbonetics external wastegate, Custom piping, Spearco intercooler, Custom steel braided oil return line, and Greddy (bov).
I am still working on it....., I am running 5lbs, and driving it like normal, but if I have to stand on it it will lean out. It is not my daily driver, so it is fine for local shows, but when I do bigger events, it becomes a trailer queen! I am looking at the Greddy E-Manage, but I am also researching a piece that manipulates the ECU and will dump more gas fr about $450. I do not want to give details on the piece yet b/c I just don't know to much at this time. what are you using for fuel?

im using the SF fuel kit. It is sweet. Nice A/F all the way to 13 psi. i havent tested it past that.
It will be $525 when it is released seperate from the turbo kit.

it works better if you inject it straight after the throttle body. Because it is soo cold that the air take zero time to cool down. if you do it in the intercooler, it will warm up a bit before it gets into the engine.
that may contradict something i said earlier, but i was completely proven wrong by my boss.
