Another addition to the Stafford Fab. Family
Something that might help SFPower's Sales...
Who exactly is SFPower? Whats some background...Maybe this should be posted in the groupbuy section. I think the only doubts people have about the kit arise from not recognizing SFPower's name.

well, i guess i will post it here and there.
SF power is actually Mike Stafford, owner of Stafford Fabrications. He has been fabricating and installing custom turbo kits for over 5 years, and has done numerous show cars, which have ended up in numerous magazines. He did the second turbo kit on the fiberimages civic, the fiberimages sebring (which is in his shop right now), and the cutting edge audio prelude (which makes around 700 whp).

yea, and yes. This is the prototype, and it will attatch to the base kit turbo system without any mods. And yes it will gain power. We may even offer a trade in deal where you send in your air-air and piping for a core charge, if your stuff isnt damaged.

Cat, Why didnt you guys use 3 " pipes on all pipes of the air to water intercooler? Looks kind weird. Have you guys temp tested this, that is a VERY hot part of the engine, especially with a turbo. I think gains on this would be minimul do to the engine bay heat, compared to a normal intercooler. What kind of R & D are you guys doing on this?? any?? Id love to see some dyno numbers from the air-water intercooler. Did you change your stock exhaust yet?

to answer your question, it works very very well. We use a 7" x 9" x 3 1/2" heat exchanger. Also the water tank holds over a quart of water, plus the addedwater in the intercooler and the heat exchanger. And we use a high flow pump (750 gph) to pump the water through the entire system.
So it will stay nice and cool.
Why do you want a 3" pipe? Do you know how much CFM that will flow? It is WAY more than our engines will need.
Mike made a 874 whp 392 stroker motor in a ford mustang cobra road race car with a vortec YS trim blower (customers choice, not mikes) and intercooler, and he ran a single 3" pipe.
