how to shop for a custom kit?
can anyone give me some advice on the ins and outs of piecing together
a custom kit.....not sure if you can use any type of turbo housing and turbine
as long as you have a manifold to bolt it....plus the fuel rail for the extra injectors.
I know some people have gone custom and the numbers are a little more impressive than
the claims of the kits. can anyone give me advice or do you really have to call the turbo manufacturer and get help from them. I heard some people say that they worked with their
local speed shop....did you go to the shop already knowing what you wanted to piece together or did you have an idea of the amount of power/money that you wanted?

I've looked at compressor maps for the T03 and the T04B. A T3 Super 60 will put you in the center of the map if you plan on running around 7 psi. The T04B S-trim will put you in the bottom center of the map (also very good). I can't find compressor maps for the T25 or T28, so I have no idea about those. But the T3 Super 60 or T3/T04B S-trim are pretty good choices IMO.

and everything else is pretty much suppling the extra fuel and connecting and cooling everything......so basically, all the thought of charging goes into the turbo itself, manifold and intercooler......then you just connect the dots and make everything fit right?
