Turbo Kit - Is this a good deal?
Seller is asking $400 on craigslist for this trubo setup.
Includes Godspeed T28 turbo w/ internal wastegate bolted to manifold, intercooler, clamps, and blow-off valve. Item is new, but has rough finish.

I've never even considered boosting my EM2 and I don't know the first thing about installing a turbo. Is this a good price for what's included? Also, what else would I need to safely and efficiently bolt this up to a D17A2? I'm sure it's a lot of work, so would I be digging myself into a ditch with this, or is it a worthwhile purchase?

It's an average deal, I know someone with a BNIB OBX kit for sale for $500, which is basically the same kit.
You still need Hondata, plus a couple hours worth of tuning to run it.

Also I just reminded myself I have a lousy 4-speed auto transmission...
I'm pretty sure that can't handle the addition of a turbo.
And yeah, ECU was something I expected.
I'll have to pass on this, but if anyone's interested, this is listed in the Omaha, Nebraska craigslist as "d-series turbo".

What are you guys talking about junk parts and eBay? It's a Godspeed kit so at least it has a namebrand and it's craigslist. Craigslist is all used items from local sellers. I think it's a good deal. $1000 for kpro and $200 for a manual tranny though. You shouldn't boost an auto

Godspeed isn't really a name brand, it's little or no better than a generic one you'd buy off ebay. They're a direct, cheap, copy of Dezod kits. There's a lot more too a manual swap than just the trans.

If anything, i'd do a manual swap long before boosting anything.
God I need a better paying job... and a specialized mechanic who actually deals with this kind of stuff...

Cheap, Fast, and Reliable ... now you can only pick 2 of the 3....
If you pick Cheap and Fast it will not be Reliable
If you pick Cheap and Reliable it will not be Fast

Pick your 2 and build your own car.
