That is good to know Paul. It's always nice to have a reason behind things. Completely off-topic here, but do other dezod employees ever use the "dezod" forum user names or is it always you? Hate to be saying, "Yeah Paul, blah blah blah." when it's not Paul.

You luck out severly. I answer the phone about 20% of the time. Enrique does the other 80%. Adam will once in a blue moon if either of us are not there.
I am posting on here 95% of the time. So it's a safe assumption to guess it's me.

Re: Blown Turbo!
OK, so I'm still smoke free. Car has been running well, alittle rough at times. The plugs probably have gunk on em again, I'll have to pull em & clean em again. One thing that I am still not happy about it my PCV system. I really hate my design, foo's is better, but none of the systems I have seen work well on relieving the crankcase of pos+ pressure. I was looking at a system alot of muscle car guys use. Weld an nipple on the exhaust w/ a baffle inline.........at idle it will pull alittle but when WOT it has a **** load of vacuum.
I opened the valve on my catch can & got a **** load of water & yellow foamy condensation again! I just left the valve open to drain while I'm at work. I believe it's from the 100% humidity from the winter, possibly hq problems, or my pcv system not able to suck the nasty stuff out!!
Anybody have any good idea's....here are some paint diagrams of my pcv & foo's systems...

Re: Blown Turbo!
Here's the system I will probably go to eventually. It's done by a guy on d-series.org who goes by lkailburn and his post is Here. Check it out.
But if you don't want to check it out, here is the pic and explanation.

the problem i have with that diagram is that there is no vacuum draw on the crankcase port. the MAIN reason we have a PCV system is neglected. also, any oil vapors that were able to climb up and out would just coat the back of your engine block.. not something i would want to deal with. i know other people just attach a hose and route it to the ground.
but im still going to suggest my method/design which provides some vacuum at all times in a closed catch can system
the reason i add the IM section back in is a slashcut ONLY provides a few in/hg of vacuum under high rpm/high load. which is better than nothing but a filtered, check valved line to the im would provide tons of vacuum everywhere out of boost.
ppl have issues of "dumping all that junk back into the IM".. but inreality, the stock system already does that. PLUS this setup has a catch can, which sole purpose is to CATCH vapors etc. AND in addition to the catch can, a finer inline filter can be added.
a more complex but infinitly more complete setup i believe. and all still being very cheap and resourceful

Re: Blown Turbo!
Awesome! That is exactly what we need. My pipes & manifold stay clean & my crankcase is always under vacuum, sucking all that gunk out!
Good find, clint! That has the exhaust cuts like the system I was gonna try to mimic. I like the IM thought aswell!

Re: Blown Turbo!
The trick I think is the one-way check valves in Luke's system. Check out his webpage as well. He's a got several nifty ideas and how-tos. I just found it myself.

HAHA check out DET can.....that is awesome........a silicone hose attched to the block & headphones. That is a ghetto way to listen for detonation!!!
The check valves make that system work great. You have no chance of back pressure or any hiccups going the wrong way!

Re: Blown Turbo!
Yeah lkailbrn's looks like it works. Having that check valve btn the TB and the valve cover is the most important. You get the vacuum draw and you won't over pressureize the crankcase under boost conditions.

Re: Blown Turbo!
Most people just vent the PCV to the atmosphere with a $3 breather filter.
We do offer the Moroso can for less than $100 to cleanly and properly handle the PCV overflow.

Re: Blown Turbo!
Here you go............this guy has every possible pcv system on this car, he even performs vacuum tests, & rates each setup. He's got this **** nailed. I learned alot from reading over his post
