P1106 and misfires? Crap, not again...
I got this problem..which came and gone, and now back again.
codes: 1106, 300's. Map sensor malfuction and multiple/ramdom misfires on all cylinders. My plugs are fine, all injectors are fine.
But misfiring on idle even! AFR shows...YEP, I'm leaning out on probably one cylinder (16+). Ususlly 16 would not misfire on idle, but if 3 of the 4 cylinders are good(14.7) and 1 is like (20+) then ya, i'd misfire and probably get the 16afr i'm reading right now. What I don't understand is WHY am I getting the misfires codes to ALL cylinders? does the MAP sensor code have anyting to do with it?
I thought, of course it does! MAP sensor helps control the afr's. But then again, why is it SERVERLY misfiring at 16 afr idle? MAP sensor readings should affect ALL cylinders not just one.
Any brainer car geek wanna tackle this one?

Well I had that exact same problem except without a noticable misfire. She ran rough on 5 seconds of cold starts & I got random misfire codes & baro sensor (p1106) code every morning. I changed plugs & gap & completely fixed my misfire problem. Now my only issue is the P1106 baro sensor. I get that about once every 3 days or so now.
Emanage sucks......but I'm getting better at it.
Is your car turbo or is this doing that on a stock car. If a stock car is doing this I could be a map sensor problem, ignition coil (doubt it), or ecu. I ran through all of my honda flow charts at work on these issues and for a stock car those were the three issues every time. The baro sensor is located inside the ecu so you'll need to replace that if the case. Map sensor sends a signal based on load back the to ecu for fuel trim. So correct that could cause misfire codes.

Yah I found the problem, my iriduimIX's were shot. As soon as I replaced them the car idled well on startup again. Apparently, my lean condition was caused by 1 cylinder not firing hence free oxygen in the exhaust. I should picked up on that in the first place. I thought that nonburned gas would give you rich conditions but if you think about it, theres free oxygen which is what the wideband uses to calculate fuel ratios hence high numbered afr's.
as for the p1106, I replaced the MAP and I still get the error code after reset. my emanage clamp is set to 2.94V. U guys know whats wrong?
