Yea! my turbo, w/g, bov, fmic and piping is here, my maifold came today, missed the ups guy tho
anyways, the only thing im waiting on is my injectors, still need to purcase my emanage guages and make my exhaust, should be boosted in 2 weeks or so hopefully

here what comes? the burning? i didnt get the t3/t04e cuz i hate turbo lag and i think this should be a bit less laggy since im only running 6psi daily, not looking to break land speed records just want a bit more power out if this shitty d series, till i can afford to do my orignal plans, an all motor k. For the time being, this ebay turbo will last the summer , likely need to be rebuilt this winter, i know i didnt get top notch stuff, but i bought **** that works, so ppl can say w/e they want but im only looking to run a cheap kit for about 1 maybe 2 seasons until i sell it.

Well some of the ebay turbos are not horrible. You just gotta make sure not to get epoxied 2 pc compressor covers and look for the ones with "garrett" cartridges. I know of 4-5 ebay turbos that are still going after 10-20k miles! The wastegates on the other hand are usually garbage. I personally havent seen one last more than a week. The BOVs are hit or miss but not usually too bad. If you have a mig welder and check/weld those garbage manifolds every time you drive the car and brace the crap out of them you can make em last about 6 months before they completely disintegrate, hehe. We had one on our h22 accord and made over 400whp for a lil while just for a low budget project. You wont get anything special for the prices but you can make it work if you are very skilled.

This one is an ssautochrome turbo kit, which is the most popular where i live, tons of b series engines are running them and have been for 2 summers now. they have garret internals but are not garret turbos, they are from ebay. The w/g is a xspower wastegate, rfl bov and xspower intercooler, 2 of my frineds, one has a b18boosted the other is a b16 boosted running 16 psi this year daily are using the same w/g and bov, the one with 16psi just bought a new turbo, not cuz he blew it up but becuase he wanted a bigger one. so for 6 psi daily this should work fine hopefully and if not, itll be more of an excuse for me to buy a k. Im gonna get a taste of this turbo thing, if i liek it i will upgrade form thier, if not im gonna sell and buy the k i want.....

[assuming ur talking about the turbo] its not that ive heard good things about them, its that ive witnessed that thier not complete crap, thiers no debate, they are not amazing performace brand name race turbo, but for a daily driven 6psi civic they work more then fine.... im about to find out anyways, the whoel kit isnt ebay either, i bought a mani off sum1 on here, the ic is from a friend aswel, and the emanage isnt either.... its the turbo, w/g, bov

oh yea ... well i guess ill find out soon enough, if i have any troubles, ill post up about it so ya know 4 sure but from what ive seen first hand i dont think itll be too bad. U kno neone who is selling emanage with things listed below?

i i seriously hope for your sake you dont have any problems. and hope the wastegate doesnt cause any boost spikes and blow your motor. or hope the seal in the turbo dont go out in little time. these are only some of the whoas you may face. but as i said hopefullly for your sake, you dont incurr any problems

LOL yea i hope aswell LOL, well see, if i find the w/g is inconsistan then ill get a new one, better one, same with turbo.... for the mean time, i still need my emanage and im painting my side skirts tongiht

Id be most concerned with that WG. Otherwise you should be ok. Keep an eye out for used Tial 38s, they are hard to come by but you will most likely need one, hehe. Thats one part I'll never cheap out on, one spike can cost you a motor in seconds.

i know what im going to do, im going to boost my d17 @ 6psi using the kit i ahve purchased, hopefully running around 180/190whp, if i like the boost im going to continue and build my motor to handle more boost, if i do not liek it im going to sell everything and swap for a k. ive never driven a boosted car nor installed one b4, so i ahve a some buddies helpin me with experince, this is all new to me.

well boost is a big thing in my area, currently i have a friend boosting and gutting his 91 hh2 accord, anoher is building his b16 turbo to run 18psi dailay and another is boosting another b16 in a hatch.... so i wanna try this boost thing, if i decide i like all motor more then i just kill the project and swap, this way i know i ddint like boost or did

I have been researching k swaps alot over the past few months and I don't care what anyone says, you will never make the amount of power and be as fast with the same amount of money if you do a k swap. It is so damned expensive just to get a k swap into your car. Add on parts for either turbo or n/a, you're looking at damned near 10k to run 11's, not worth it to me. Plus, a k series running 11's isn't anything new or impressive. Running even a 12 with a sohc will get you more respect, if you care about that.

Oh, also, dude, save yourself some time, money and headache and only buy parts you'll need long term. Once you boost, you will like it, it's more power. Just trying to give you some good advice to save time and money in the long run.

true but at the same time im not looking to break land speed records, im looking for a cheap, effective, efficient, relaible way of making between 200 and 300 hp, its a daily driver and i dont wanna turn it into a weekend car, i just wanna rip most ppl when i wanna and run decent time at the track.....

Just make sure your setup will support your hp goals. There was a time I only wanted 250 whp on stock motor. After I did that, I wanted more right away....
