Re: K24 Frank begins.
I have a question. My D17 just went out and was reading some threads and can't decide on NA or Turbo K. Anyways my question is, what is everyone doing for the bearings, is everyone i read about using stock OEM bearing or aftermarket ones, and if so which ones?
The reason i asked is that my D17 bearing where spun. A year ago my friends spun his bearing using nitrous on his Type S and ended up taking it in and getting the entire engine overhauled to take up to 1000 hp. they beefed the bottom end by putting in a B series custom crank since it's thicker than the type s. they also beefed up the bearings (thicker and stronger) and a whole bunch of other stuff sleeved and head work. I'm wondering if all these people that are doing the Franks and Turbos are going to have problems down the road with the bearings since it seems these engine's bearing were designed weak.

please dont say your buddy has a b series crank in his k-series...LOL maybe he got a f22 crank with a modified snout.. but no way in hell does he have a B series crank in a K block. I went ahead and upped to ACL rod and Main Bearings along with Thrust washers... so hopefully i dont have the problem your friend does.

Re: K24 Frank begins.
all you need to buy is Mounts, Shifter Cables and Assembly... Then find a K24 accord complete for $850 then build it.

Re: K24 Frank begins.
you need Crank Position Sensor (k20A2) Knock Sensor (k20a2) TDC Sensor (K20a2) Cam Sensor (k20a2) and you need a K20a2 engine wire harness.
here is a good sensor breakdown.

in http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21854 the cr-v crank sensor is the same as the rsx-s
Re: K24 Frank begins.
its more for kpro to help determine what gear you are in by using the math of speed vs rpm calculation... usually when using options in kpro that needs to determine what gear you are in... examples would be the boost by gear option
