Couple of problems I need to sort out
Couple of problems I need to sort out
Ok well the turbo seems to be running fine except a few issues
First issue i belive has to do with power
1) I rear mounted my battery to the trunk and used the top of the trunk lid as a ground which i think may be my issue??
What happens every once and a while is the car will idle fine but once i give it some gas it will chug at very low rpm and almost want to die out and while this is happening i can hear the ecu click a few times (same click as when you put the acc power on before starting the car) After restarting the car it seems to be fine??
2) Im using the emanage with all harness and the car somtimes feels like it is going to die out when dropping down to idle because it goes to like 300 rpm before catching itself just before the point of stalling
Is their somthing I can do on the emanage to have the car drop no lower then 1000 rpm at idle or at least fix this problem??
Anyone elts had any of these issues..all input is very much appreciated...oh and I love boost already!

E-manage has very poor control over the idle because of the correction for the bigger injectors. Some people have had some luck fiddling with the value of the injector size you plug in and fix some of the issue, but the flutter is most likely due to too much gas and the car misses. I played with the plug gap and was able to minimize the fluctuation. Wound up with a .032 gap on the plugs and it idles fine. Unless the car is stone cold, in which case it needs 30 sec or so to stabilize.
The power issue... find another ground. Drill a hole in the trunk floor and ground the car to the bumper support structure. The trunk lid, being completely painted and connected to the car by a bunch of fasteners won't make nearly as good of a ground as the frame, which is directly grounded.
