Did you know that any turbocharger is best if it does what you need?
Do you know what you need?
Do you want to torbo your car or just asking?
What is your budget?
Did you know that you're the only one who knows answer for sure?
Did you read turbo FAQ?
Did you read "Turbo auto thread..."???
Did you in fact "search"?

I had the t25 on my vic pushign 12 psi on stock internals with no problems. You might have to end up getting a tranny cooler or build it up like I did for more boost. Otherwise I have mine for sale since I got rid of the vic

i noe wat i need...
plannin on turbo'ing my car
i have a pretty small budget but doesnt mean saving money is an issue
i read the turbo faq, didnt help or helped a lil
read the turbo auto thread that gave me some answers
nd yes i searched but like everyone says about the search button....it sux
nd wow thanks for making me do that and is that for my benfit or yours? anyways i am kinda lookin foward to see wat the economy turbo kit dezod is bringing out but still doesnt exactly answer my question...which turbo is best for an auto? yes some may not know the answer cause everyone has different opinions but some concrete answer will do just fine with me. heres wat i heard....
t25:small turbo for best and quick boost at all low rpm...possibly good for an auto
t28: never heard anything about it b.c i have no info about it]
t3: used on dezods auto civic and made some decent #'s but could b better. quick boost at 2krpm-redline
t3/t04:best for all motor and mayb for daily. very good for the high end and can be tuned to 20psi
any more input can be added....

yea i wasnt plannin on goin any higher than 6psi put will push up to 8 but its a daily driver and im not really lookin for the car that drains my gas everday. but yea i am gonna b throwing in the auto tranny upgrade kit and a ,my tc upgraded to stage 2 from level ten. so basically my goal is for a very good turbo system that gives me a good punch and #'s(atleast hit 160-190hp w/ a good tq increase) and can be still driven daily w/o killing me.
Ill punch you in the face before you visit Myspace

I have the T28i and I run 12psi now on stock internals. You'll like it, but I'm swapping to a manual just because I don't like to drive an auto. You will probably need to build up the auto if you want to run high boost for a long period of time.

there's a variety of trims
The T28 just denotes the size of the impellers inside the housing. I think its a 60mm compressor and 52mm turbine.
Beyond that, they're trimmed and A/Red to various specs.
T28bb is a ball bearing turbo
the GT28R is garrett's new badass one. Its oil and water cooled, inconel impellers, high nickel housings, ball bearings, etc.....
but there's the R, RS, RM.... a bunch of variations based on the power they can produce. Also, some of the GT28s are T3 footed..... so some caution is necessary when picking. The GT28R (GT2854R) is T25 footed.

The you have to look at the specs. The GT28R is a badass piece of hardware, but its expensive as all get out. I just spent over 900 bucks on mine with all the accessory parts you need to assemble it. A plain old T28 or T3 is probably about half that.
I don't think anyone can say its the best, but it certainly seems to show the results that its very well sized for the motor.

But, both turbos are essentialy the same. t28 is an older design and therefore affordable, gt28 is a modern technology t28, both have t25 footprint, both will do good for street car, but gt28 is better race perfotmer, due to advanced design.
so will i. like everyone says you get wat you paid for. i dont wanna go cheap on these things i want my moneys worth. thx for info
