Fuel System related question for Turbo Application
From reading and searching I understand that our fuel system is, of course, returnless and we are able to convert this to a return style. Then the other issue I see is with the fuel pump: 1) the FPR is on the pump itself and 2) we would have to install a external pump to increase fuel pressure/flow for higher flowing injectors.
Knowing this, I was reading some info on www.homemadeturbo.com and www.d-series.org relating to turbocharging the d15/d16 motor and for the fuel system, there was a picture where the fuel pump was taken out of the tank and a fuel line/pipe was put in line betwen the pickup screen and the pipe inside the tank then an external pump mounted outside the tank. Is this a valid option for our car's or will that cause a c.e.l. to come on or create some sort of problems?
Also I think a F.P.R. can be installed in line between the fuel rail and the fuel line is that correct?
thanks
