Differences in the Hondata ECU's.
I'm sure each ECU option is application specific but I really couldn't get a clear (dummy's) explanation for the differences in the K-Pro, K100, and Reflash.
Reason why I am asking, I'm just probing the possibility of of a k-swap but trying to research every component before I set it in stone that I will do it. I did do a search and didn't turn up any results. Anyone care to take a few minutes to help the newb? Where I'm getting stuck on my research is 1) The immobilizer and keeping it workable (which I know I could use a stock ecu and just have the dealer reflash it with the key) and 2) Instrumentation. Can you still use your existing lx/ex gauges for speed/tach, idiot lights or will you have to use the instrumentation from the donor vehicle?
Thanks again.

The k-pro is bascially an adjustable output, and the reflash is a one time, flash and your done deal. The most common reflash is a #4, put if you bought k-pro you can load up the #4 profile and tune it a little more. The k-pro #4 profile is also a tad bit more agressive than the standard reflash. You can still use your stock gauges, but you'll have an easier time if you just swap over the series gauges that the motor came with. The immobilizer, well you got me on that opne, I'm pretty sure that you don't need it reflash on the #4 reflash ebcause your ecu is still partially intact, not sure on the k-pro though.

You use the k20 motor ecu and take it to acura to get it reflash. not our stock one.
2) Instrumentation. Can you still use your existing lx/ex gauges for speed/tach, idiot lights or will you have to use the instrumentation from the donor vehicle?
stock one work and if you decided to use the acura. it require some mod. and fab.
