I'm new to the swapping game, so please excuse me if I do no use the right terminology, but I had talked to a local junkyard around here and he said that he can get me a RSX Type S engine for 1250. i'm not sure if this is a k20a2 or something like that, but I wanted to know if this was a good deal for the engine. Obviously I need more to do a complete swap, but I will see about the other stuff in the future. Any info would be very helpful. Thanx

Well what does it include? if it includes ecu and tranny i think its worth it maybe even if it doesn't how many miles does it have on it?

just the engine? ... I'm assuming long block... you may want to ask him if it includes any thing else ... like ecu, trans, power steering acc, harness, intake manifold, etc.

even if you did get that, you'd still need a bunch of extra parts ... check out the swap faq

Don't forget axles too, they always help, can't go wrong w. 5-lug.

get the axles, and the whole 5 lug conversion, get every little bolt and washer that you can get, you need the wire harness, shifter cables, maby the cluster ebrake lines if u get the 5 lug...

go to hasport.com and look at what you need. get everything you can get, the ecu, tranny, subframe, rims if possible

first things first, make sure the engine works. check the history of it to see what it was totaled/wrecked. could be a flood/fire/accident/etc.
