B-series swap in civic 01?
i was wondering will any b-series swap fit in a civic 01 wondering can it be done. if it can, can anyone give me a part list and how much it would cost and would it be cheaper than a K20. this would help me out alot thank you
its gonna be a bitch to get it to fit because no one has ever done this. I think its highly illegal if its done in cali and unless its a b18 type r screw it i rather get a k20 no matter what the demand is or price

ITs illegal that car is for the salt flats and strictly for the salt flats its a top speed car go ahead put a b18 in your car i wanna see in the end how fast it goes if its faster than a k20 and who went threw more hell

Anywho, yes this swap has been done before. As far as i know, its only been done by one person who is a member on this board; Mirage. The motor was completely built and destroked to something like 1.2L. The motor was customn built and the swap was VERY long. Motor mounts were custom made, as well as all the wiring.
The fact is, in most states you have to have a motor made on the same year or later as the production date of the car. If you think the price of a k20 swap is too high, look into doing the k24 swap. They're cheaper motors and also give you more options and a little more displacement for more power and torque. If you swap in a K24 from a CRV or accord, you can always swap a K20A2 head later on for more performance. This is what Hondaluver did and is proving very effective.
Now everyone STFU and stop bitching at each other. A mod should probably lock this thread as this question is asked EVERY day.
