it will take more work than it is worth. To be legal, it has to come from a 01 lude. To make it fit, you will need custom mounts, because no one makes h22 mounts for our cars.
i have yet to hear of it being done, but if u can get it in words, go for it because it sounds a little fishy... U think if it was possible someone woulda done it by now, cause H22A's are A LOT cheaper than k20's...

thats what would make it interesting, the fact that the h22 engine is a helllllll lot cheaper than the the k20 and on another note to many k20 swaps have already been done.. If i do get anymore info guys i will let you know..
It would be a pain in the ***, not impossible though. To be realistic, by the time you get done making everything fit and work, mechanically and electrically, you will have more money into that swap than a k20a. Im not stating my opinion, I am stating a fact. The amount of cutting and stripping of the frame to fit width-wise because of the bigger tranny, and front to back to clear that big intake manifold would be a major waste. It all depends on how original you want to be though. I know for a fact that he will not be able to hold that price once he tries to set in that h22. If it went in it sure would be sweet though. I am a major fan of the h22. Who knows maybe you could be innovative.
H22, puh. Do what someone on this site did, go the K24 route, at least its been done before and you'll have something to go by and a larger selection of (legal) engines to chose from instead of just a 2001 H22. Best of luck.

d16
b16
k20
k24
d16 was in pakistan or something for a temporary motor while his d17 was set to crower.
b16 was a complete custom job for salt flat racing.
k20 everyone is doing
k24 has only been by hondalover i believe.

Good luck... The K20 is not so easy to swap and this is a compact engine. The H22 is bigger (also lourder) and you gonna have to fit mount and maybe modify your frame (illegal in Canada). Also the wiring gonna be rought. If a guy offer you the whole swap for 3000$ CDN...maybe he didn't know where he go and you will have more to pay or you'll have a scrapy job.
Also forget the handling, the engine will be too loud for the Mapherson (55 lbs more than a k20a2)
PS In Canada the law don't botter about the engine year vs car year...

this thread is still alive hehe... The only reason I was considering this swap in the first place was for 2 reasons
1) MY LOVVVVVVVVVVVE FOR THE h22 engine
2) and the fact that this hasnt been done yet( well at least to my knowledge.. I like to be original lol)
